  1. Actually Crawford is a pretty decent CF, it's just that Baldelli is a better option out there for the Rays. For the Brewers, Crawford probably becomes the best option in CF, he's better than Clark/ Gross/ Hart and is probably better that Billy Hall would ever hope to be out there. He has played roughly 50 games in CF in his MLB career.
  2. Just a little elbow tendonitis from what I was told. Should be back rolling in spring..
  3. Great point RP except for... No chance Graffy is going to be the everyday SS for any MLB team let alone one with Bill Hall on it. Get Manny, leave Hall at short and go with a Gross/ Clark platoon in CF and Hart in RF...now we're talking playoffs!
  4. Pardon my ignorance but if we trade Hall doesn't that make us a bunch worse offensively? Aren't we looking for that "premier bat". Why would we trade the closest thing we have to that? That's about as bad a move as it comes. Please Doug, don't trade our best MLB player.
  5. I wanted Maybin as well. I think he will end up being a superstar. Ryan Braun I think will end up being very good...however he will be ready sooner than Maybin. I guess that's a good sign for the Brewers to be drafting for more immediate returns.
  6. They just got him from Det...do you think they're going to trade him? Especially for DD?
  7. I would say that the Yankees are the last team I'd look to trade with. Other than Hughes they have very little of value. Years of trading away prospects for veteran stars for the stretch run have completely stripped them of any interesting prospects. There is a reason Betances is their #3 rated prospect...they don't have anyone else. So in answer to the original questions "Would the Yanks want Davis?? the answer would be, "Yes, but they have nothing to offer in return.?
  8. "I know everything about film...I've seen 240 of them." Priceless Dwight. I do agree that the Pam/ Jim stuff might begin to be a distraction to the show. Otherwise I still think it was brilliant...the music video cracked me up. Dwight in the blaze orange hat raping about the compact car spaces...Wow. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif
  9. CJ I'm not saying it held Braun back a bunch but I do think you can't discount the defense as slowing him down. Weeks was sent up to sink or swim partly because of where the Brewers were as an organization...they're not there anymore so I think the Weeks/ Braun comparison is a bad one. I think the Gordon/ Tulo/ Longoria comparison is a good one for Braun, and I think you'll see although it's slight, Braun's defense has made him move slower then these guys have respectively. Checked and replied...sorry for the delay.
  10. It's not unheard of for advanced college bats to make that jump. The Brewers did a similar early push with Weeks, the Nats did the same with Zimmerman, and the Royals sent Gordon right to AA. The fact that Braun has taken a slower route shows you that despite his success with the bat, his defense may be holding him back.
  11. CJ, Another little local flavor on the TB list. Former Midwest Blazer and Waukesha North HS star Chris Nowak checked in as the Rays prospect with the best plate discipline. I know he set all kinds of offensive records at D2 (now D1) South Carolina- Upstate. He actually out hit #3 prospect Reid Brignac when they were together in W. Michigan (A ball). Congrats to Chris!
  12. If Yo's here before Sept, it will be because the Brewers have major injuries and probably be in last place. The kid has 77 innings above A ball...be patient with him.
  13. I would say that's probably a big stretch. So many people on this board want to rush this kid because he's had success. He's 20 years old and has only pitched 77 innings above A ball...he's not ready yet. I'd say at best he's a September call up this year...certainly not in the plans for the 4/5 spot in the MLB rotation.
  14. Roberts definitely fits the "Gritty Battler" type guy that Nedly likes. For me it?s an unspectacular signing. Not likely to take us to the playoffs but not likely to hurt us in the long run if the money is right.
  15. A note on the Blue Jay's list: Former Midwest Blazer and Sheboygan North standout Brandon Magee made the list. Also credited wtih the organizations best slider. Nice to see a hometown guy on a top prospect list. Way to go Brandon!
  16. Ironically it was us who he began his "step up" against. He threw two runners out at the plate from LF and then came in and closed the game in the "tiebreaker" against our Blazer team. We were the #1 seed overall after pool play that year. Our roster featured guys like Beranek, Ryan Wherle, Ryan Bohannon, Dusty Brabender, Brett Jacobsen, and others.
  17. Gloating Democrats...http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
  18. I guess that of us who are EZ supporters might qualify as the biggest bunch of losers.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Insert shameless plug for EZsupporters here.... Wow http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif
  19. Jason Heyward = a young Dave Winfield. I love the kid. He can really swing it.
  20. 2 for me for sure...maybe more.
  21. Giant images that make me have to use the horizontal scroll bar. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif Like the one above. Lack of spell-check on EZboard.
  22. I've watched just about every episode of the show and I thought this one was the best one by far. Many people mentioned the lines that made them laugh...for me the funniest moments were the unspoken reactions of the staff members in the background as Michael made his increasingly insulting comments at the "diversity meeting". I thought that was great comedic acting and the fact the non-spoken facial expressions made me laugh out loud is a credit to this show and it's group of actors. Jim's looks to the camera, Pam's looks during the meeting and the red haired woman's horrified face throughout the "outing of Oscar" were priceless. I'm excited to see where they go next.
  23. Is there an issue with the site today? All the headers and most of the graphics come up as X's for me in IE today. Help?
  24. Maybe Dusty will bring Dempster in...that would be great!
