  1. I do not think the Brewers should trade Josh Hader but if they did, what would a a reasonable asking price and to who? Atlanta Braves- Christian Pache, Luiz Gohara, and Luke Jackson.
  2. Besides getting blown up once, look at the length of Leake's starts. I don't dislike Davies at all. Lining up pitcher like below would avoid throwing two guys on back to back days with similar stuff. I'm speechless that anyone would think Jeffress and Elias are equal. The Brewers need an innings eater so they can use the pen, and mainly Claudio accordingly and that is what Leake is. 1. Woodruff 2. Gonzalez 3. Leake 4. Anderson 5. Davies
  3. Leake has better and more reliable than the entire rotation other than Woodruff in 2019. Elias has big, lefty velocity and is rising, Jeffress has inconsistent velocity. Beckham is a lot better SS than Perez. The Brewers need a reserve SS. The Mariners may want to make JP Crawford their everyday, uncontested SS. Williams and Derby have little value to the Brewers but they are taking on Leake's contract. I think the Mariners would like to get out from under it. Arguably, Dubon is the most sought after player in the trade which off sets the two lesser players Milwaukee is giving up.
  4. I know this isn't the "big name" pitcher trade but how about Tim Beckham, Mike Leake, Roenis Elias and 5 million dollars for Maurico Dubon, Taylor Williams, and Bubba Derby? Why? Bechkam replaces Saladino. It appears Dubon is not going to get a shot. Dubon and JP Crawford give the Mariners a young middle infield. Beckham is a versatile middle infielder and puts the ball in play. Leake is better than what we have and the 5 millions goes towards his 2020 salary. He also wants out of Seattle for they may sell cheap. Elias and Houser can set up Hader. Elias is controllable and does display elite stuff at times, just not Hader elite. Elias gives Milwaukee a closer alternative. Williams and Derby are pieces that we can sell because they are blocked and are not big sells. Critics, blast away! The trade does address three of Milwaukee's issues.
  5. Time to let your 2nd best hitter bat third! Cain CF Yelich RF Huira 2B Moose 3B Grandal C Braun LF Thames 1B Pitcher Arcia SS
  6. Make the move, CC? Huira up, Braun down in the order. I am assuming Grandal gets today off. Cain CF Yelich RF Huira 2B Moose 3B Aguilar 1B Braun LF Pina C Pitcher Arcia SS
  7. I wonder what the batting order will look like? Please, no Grandal leading off. Cain CF Yelich RF Moose 3B Grandal C Huira 2B Braun LF Thames 1B Arcia SS Pitcher
  8. What about pitchers who won't break the bank? Stroman, Boyd and Mad Bum are going to be highly sought after. Zach Wheeler is also going to cost Peralta or Burnes. #1. Andrew Cashner- Innings eater. Has been reliable. He may be motivated to be out of the AL East and contending. #2. Sonny Gray- Major risk/reward. Might cost a lot since it is inner divisional. #3. Tanner Roark- He has been solid. Another risk/reward. #4. Homer Bailey- Would be reasonable. He is more consistent than what we currently have beside Woodruff. He's always had good stuff. #5. Mike Leake- Package with Roenis Elias?
  9. I was looking at relief options who wouldn't break the bank (no Burnes, Peralta, Huira, Turang, Lutz). Why? Hader won't have to go two innings and he can then go back to back days. #1. Roenis Elias: With Hader, it would be a 7 inning game. #2. Alex Colome: A notch better than Greene. #3. Shane Greene: Package with Boyd but Burnes or Peralta would be included. #4. Ken Giles: Should be reasonable. #5. Ian Kennedy: Should be reasonable. #6. Will Smith: The price is rising, Milwaukee may be outbid. #7. Jake Diekman: Compliment to Albers/Jeffress in the 6th to 8th inning. #8. Sean Doolittle: Better than what we have. #9. Sergio Romo: I always wanted him to be a Brewer. #10. Greg Holland: If all else fails. May be an improvement.
  10. Brewers get Greene Tigers get Aguilar, Barnes or Williams and Nottingham
  11. #1 on the sell mode list: Lorenzo Cain. I don't like the back end of his contract. I think Moose, Grandal, Pina, Davies and obviously, Hader, would all draw interest.
  12. I picked up Starlin Castro in my fantasy league when Keston Huira was demoted so there's that. I picked up Huira when Travis Shaw went on the DL.
  13. I don't think Yates is going anywhere. The Padres are going to be in the wild card hunt. Think Colome or Barraclough for pen help.
  14. When are the Brewers going to give Hader some music and board displays when he enters a game. Trevor Hoffman's Hells Bells was awesome; Jonathan Broxton's Iron Man in Kansas City was even better. Are closer entrances a thing of the past?
  15. Now that Huira made The Show, who is the next prospect to make their MLB debut? My guess is Tyrone Taylor when an OF hits the DL.
  16. Milwaukee needs another high leverage relief pitcher to go with Guerra and Hader. Shane Greene from the Tigers has a one year, 4 million dollar contract. Would one of Nottingham, Dubon or Ray be enough to get him (or is that an over pay)? He will be a lot less costly than Will Smith and his 2017 and 2019 numbers look great. Milwaukee could upgrade just about every Tiger starting position.
  17. What I'd like to see...... Gamel CF Yelich RF Moustakas 2B Grandal C Thames 1B Braun LF Shaw 3B Arcia SS Pitcher
  18. Hypothetically: Jeffress goes down to improve velocity, Jackson up (DFA Spangenberg) Wilson down (or DFA if needed), Hart up Wilkerson shuttles with Houser, Williams, D. Guerra, and Burnes (when he gains some consistency). Burnes could move the the 7th inning if Peralta looks decent in a rehab start. Peralta could replace the worst starter when he is ready. Claudio and Hart should never face a right handed batter back to back. SP: Gonzalez, Chacin, Anderson, Davies, Woodruff 7th: Claudio, Barnes, Burnes (eventually) 8th and 9th: Claudio, Hader, Guerra This also might explain why I am under .500 in my fantasy league.
