  1. Phelps is due 4.5 million on a club option. He gone!
  2. A new hitting coach and no Braun (retired), Gyorko, Sogard, Phelps or Gamel on the roster.
  3. If the Brewers are going to do anything this season they need to take a few risks and hope players develop or come thru. The same ol, same ol is getting frustrating. I have no idea why they don't bunt when the defense gives them a free base hit on shifts. RHP Urias 3B (He gets on base) Garcia CF (Struggled leading off. Good base runner with speed) Huira 2B (Best bat on the team) Yelich LF (#2 spot is not working) Braun DH (Can switch with IF/1B) Smoak 1B (So streaky) Navarez C (Some bad luck. Seems to be getting better) Gamel RF (Frustrating) Arcia SS (Hit .250 or let Urias take over at SS) LHP Urias 3B Garcia CF Huira 2B Yelich LF Braun DH Gyorko 1B (No Smoak vs. LHP) Pina C ( Back to earth) Matias RF (Find out what you have) Arcia SS No Sogard, stay consistent, see what you have with younger guys.
  4. Silver Cream brewed by The Rail House in Marinette, Wisconsin. With no Garcia or Braun the line up is bad. I have a feeling Navarez is going to go on a tear.
  5. Arcia SS Yelich LF Huira DH Garcia CF Braun RF Pina C Gyorko 1B Urias 2B Sogard 3B
  6. I wonder if MLB GM's use the trade simulator? lol
  7. Keep piggy backing Burnes. A lot of the pitchers have different stuff in comparison to who they are piggy backed with. If based on performance, Layer should lose his next start to Burnes or Peralta. Woodruff Burnes/Suter Houser/Lauer Peralta/Lindblom Anderson
  8. Which player, on the 60 Man Roster, are you most excited to see make their 2020 debut? It's easy for me: Drew Rasmussen
  9. I should have clarified. Top ten per team, not top ten in MLB. He is not getting anyone's #1.
  10. I think Hader still gets two top ten prospects (with one being a MLB ready pitcher) plus a lottery ticket or two. Braves- Drew Waters OF and Bryce Wilson P (Pache?) Dodgers- Tony Gonsolin P and Kody Haese 3B (I'd ask for Lux) Padres- Taylor Trammell OF and Michael Baez P (Loaded farm system) Indians- Danny Espino P and George Valera IF A's- AJ Puk P and Sheldon Nuese 3B (I really like this trade) Yahnkees- Devi Garcia P and Estavan Florial OF White Sox- Andrew Vaughn 1B and Dane Duenes P Twins- Alex Kirilloff 1B/OF and Jhoan Dura P
  11. Time to play the best bats at the time. Gamel LF Yelich DH Huira 2B Navarez C Cain CF Garcia RF Morrison 1B Holt 3B Arcia SS
  12. Would Addison Russell be a good rebound candidate to play 3B in Milwaukee? I know the guy has a negative history but he is only 25 years old. He may do well in a small market. Does his history impact a teams decision to sign him?
  13. Mets: McNeil, Smith, Familia, Matz and cash. Twins: Kirilloff, Balazovic and Arraez Dodgers: Lux and Gonsolin
  14. With Knebel's uncertainty to start the season and with Wahl and Black being unproven, there are some upgrades to be made to the pen. 1.) Pedro Strop- An incentive based option to close on non-Hader days. 2.) Hector Rondon- An incentive based option to close on non-Hader days. 3.) Collin McHugh- Swing man. Piggy back Burned and Peralta. 4.) Arodys Vizcaino- Two year deal. May be paying for rehabilitation. Could be lightening in a bottle. 5.) Will Harris- Probably too expensive but if he had an option to close who knows. 6.) Ryan Buchter- Awesome stat lines but in a huge park. 7.) Andrew Cashner- Would actually challenge for a rotation spot. 8.) Sam Dyson- Decent back end experience.
  15. Avasial Garcia- Go for three years. He is about to be a very, very good player. Yasiel Puig- Two years. He would be awesome in Miller Park. Corey Dickerson- One year with a club option. Good hitter but aging. Hunter Pence- 1 year and hope he hits like last year. Can at 1B. Melky Cabrera- 1 year and hope he stays healthy. Kole Calhoun- I think for the price, all the others are better options.
  16. I think the Brewers have a big trade in the works. If not, here is who I'd like to see filling some roster spots. It appears that Milwaukee is not going to spend big but who knows. Franco and Strop are risk/reward. SP: Julio Tehran- Getting him for his age 28 season. He would provide some consistency and would take the ball every five days. Is he worth multiple years? 3B: Makiel Franco- Still young enough to show more consistency offensively (higher average, lower K rate). Has a ton of pop. Defense could be better but he is still fairly young. Being out of Philly could help, too. I think his bat would play well in Miller Park. OF: Avasail Garcia- I'd love to see what he'd put up for numbers with half his games in Miller Park. He's entering his prime. I'd definitely go multiple years especially with Braun at the tail end of his contract. 1B: Todd Frazier (or switch 3B and 1B with Franco). It seems like he has been around forever but last year's stats were decent. I like the 3B/1B combo with the current roster and the uncertainty of Braun playing 1B. RP: Pedro Strop- I hate the hat but think he is a bounce back candidate. I'd love to see him in a Brewer uniform mowing down Cubs. I'm not saying he is the closer (although maybe he could be) but he could help solidify the 7th or 8th.
  17. Hader to the Dodgers for: Dustin May (slots into the rotation) Tony Gonsolin (late inning relief, prior MLB success) Joc Pederson + salary relief (1B/OF platoon, 2020 top of the order hitter) Austin Barnes (C but plays other positions, 26 man) Enrique Hernandez (Utility IF) I know this looks light but May and Gonsolin are somewhat proven, young major league ball players. Pederson fills 1B and a corner OF need and his bat would play well in Miller Park. Barnes is what he is but allows Navarez to play some 1B. Hernandez is a wild card. He has some potential but could be an everyday player if he got consistent playing time. The Brewers would improve at three positions for the upcoming season instantly. If this is a train wreck Pederson, Barnes and Hernandez ate gone after 2020. Would the Dodgers give up five players on their 40 man? Cain CF Yelich RF Huira 2B Pederson 1B Braun LF Pina/Navarez C Hernandez 3B SS Arcia Pitcher
  18. I know, I know....... Puig would hit at the top of the order, could play RF with Yelich moving to LF on Braun's rest days, and may be able to be had for two years and twenty million dollars. He is Ozuna or Castellanos with and extra five million per year in salary.
  19. I think Pomeranz is going to cost too much. I'd rather fill the infield gaps and then worry about relief pitchers.
  20. There are a ton of holes in this roster. Mark A. is going to have to open the check book. A stud SP would give Milwaukee a good rotation. SP 1. Woodruff (stud) 2. ? 3. Houser (potential stud) 4. Davies (tender, no better options) 5. Burnes/Peralta (too young to give up on) RP Suter (swing man/ long relief) Claudio (L) (don't overwork him) J. Guerra (hopefully the velocity stays up) D. Williams (low leverage situations) Burnes/ Peralta ( too young to give up on) Hader (don't overwork him) ? ? C- Pina (better off as #2) 1B- Braun (I see it happening) 2B- Huira (defense will improve) SS- Arcia (still fairly young) 3B- ? LF- Yelich (less wear and tear) CF- Cain (solid) RF-Grisham (is he an everyday player?) Bench C- Nottingham ( a lot to prove) OF- Gamel ( no better options) 1B/3B- Shaw (not sure why) 2B/SS- ? 26 Man: Faria, D. Guerra, T. Williams, Yardley, Black IR: Wahl, Knebel, Nelson Free Agents to Consider 1.) Moose- 2/22 million, answers 3B issue. Still leaves lots of holes. 2.) Kendrik- 2/13 million, answers multiple issues (1B, 2B, 3B) 3.) Gregorious- 3/42 million, bye- bye Arcia 4.) Lyles- 1/6 million, steps into the rotation, not a #2 5.) Betances- 1/7 million, solves RHP late inning relief 6.) Nova- 1/6, steps into the rotation 7.) Holt- 1/6, solves multiple issues. Could be option #1a. behind Moose?
  21. Please let Pineapple face Quintana! Cain CF Yelich RF Moose 3B Huira 2B Grandal 1B Braun LF Pina C Arcia SS Davies P
  22. Yahnkees: Clint Frazier, Deivi Garcia, Nestor Cortez and a few flyers.
  23. I am just curious to see what people think Hader is worth and who has the prospects to get it done. The Braves proposition is a haul. I am hoping Hader is a Brewer for a long time (as well as Huira and Yelich).
