  1. Let's get a couple back right away here.
  2. Hm. I've pretty sure I've posted about his pronunciation of that word in the vent thread. To each his own, I guess. Anyway, Brad Nelson should be a nice pinch hit option for this month.
  3. Yeah I know, or at least I figured. Wouldn't have minded Dillon at first and Rivera catching today.
  4. Well their MLB numbers are probably too small to indicate much, but Rivera has a career .790 OPS in the minors while Dillon's is .897. So yes, Rivera could have a good game today, but Dillon would still be the better hitter. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  5. I like giving Prince the day off, but I'd have played Dillon at first. He's a better hitter than Rivera.
  6. I'd play Dillon at first against Perez today, but I suppose that's more for the game thread.
  7. Man, it's almost as though this clutch thing is totally random.
  8. Plunder the Pirates Gorzo looks terrifying It's time for Big Boy.
  9. I may have been mistaken, but I swear I heard mock cheering from the best fans in baseball last night. Nah, couldn't have been.
  10. It was huge to win one out of two. That was a huge swing in playoff chances last night, at least compared to most other individual games. The Brewers are in good shape either way, but another win tonight would be quite huge.
  11. Getting in a bit late here, but I did bring this up on lambeauleap when that happened. I couldn't believe JS would do that again after the badgerblogger mess.
  12. Does this not prove the worthlessness of W-L record? A 5-14 record with an above average ERA. Mmm Big Boy. Hawing, the Big Boy reference comes from a blog entry by Tom Haudricourt a couple weeks ago in which he maligned Rickie Weeks and repeatedly used the phrase "It's big-boy time" to say he needs to be held accountable.
  13. I'd have the same lineup as this season, with a possible upgrade at third base. Give Gamel and Escobar a full year at AAA at least.
  14. Aaron Miles has recently become the player who probably makes me the angriest. Look at how full his goatee is. Is there any way his back isn't blanketed in hair? If he grew out a full beard and carried an axe he'd look like a dwarf. Guys like Big Z, A-Ram, Edmonds, Theriot are mainstays, obviously. And how do the Cardinals keep winning with guys like Miles, Adam Kennedy, Brian Barton, Brendan Ryan, Cesar Izturis and Skip Shumaker on the team? Ugh.
  15. Murray from Flight of the Conchords
  16. Joe: HOW DO YOU AFFORD THESE THINGS!?
  17. The one that drives me absolutely nuts is his inability to judge when to go for the grounder and when to stay back and cover first. Seems like once a week he ranges way to his right, turns to throw and nobody is there to cover. If he lets it go it would be an easy play for the second baseman.
  18. Where's that Bill Hill jersey? Golden Sombrero, ugh.
  19. Couldn't you say that about most Brewers?
  20. Rickie will always have a place in my heart.
  21. Do my eyes deceive me? Carlos Villanueva pitching in a close game?
