Postseason, I have to say I'm dumbfounded by your blind hatred of Mike Cameron. He is the best defensive center fielder the Brewers have had in years (maybe ever), and he is well above average offensively. Why not focus on Hart or Hall or someone who is actually having a bad year?
  2. Oldcity
Cameron is a very good CF and Counsell is a good utility player (Yost just mis-uses him). Edit: It's more fair to criticize Melvin for assembling a team of guys who can't play defense and have poor plate discipline.

What an awful day. The first no-hitter in Miller Park history goes to Carlos Zambrano on the same day the Brewers get swept. What a nightmare.

How can this be a serious question? They'll have at worst a two-game lead after today. Sure I understand some people having their doubts, but you expect everyone to say they're done?

So, time to shut down Parra for the year?
  7. Oldcity
Parra hasn't had a good outing in awhile. I'd appreciate one tonight.

I guess with two out and nobody on it doesn't matter if Kendall hits or not.
  9. Oldcity
Haha Bill. Says how Charlie Manual would never put on a squeeze, and two pitches later...
  10. Oldcity
Who's excited to see Kendall be allowed to hit in the ninth?
  11. Oldcity
Hart has been miserably bad. Man... That was probably their last opportunity.

Nice at bat here by Prince so far...

Please remember that outing Yost. Villanueva just made Chase Utley, Ryan Howard and Pat Burrell look like Little Leaguers.
  14. Oldcity
    Ugh Lamb. Really?
  15. Oldcity
Is it a rule that Villanueva must only pitch in games the Brewers are trailing? Not saying I disagree with him coming in here, but he's rarely used to protect a lead and that bothers me.

A Prince sighting. Sweet. Wow, what an awful Bucks commercial...

Man alive when isn't Sheets throwing curves?

This park does not bode well for a fly ball pitcher.
  19. Oldcity
What was that like a four-pitch inning?
  20. Oldcity
No game at this point is meaningless; tonight didn't seem meaningless to me anyway. You can see the thread about pitching CC and why moving him up doesn't stack up as well down the road.

Shouse starts that ninth inning and the Brewers win no problem.

It was also because in all likelihood the person who did the dubbing did not know the value of OBP.

The Brewers have been taking poor at-bats for awhile now, and Volquez isn't exactly a guy I'm happy to see anyway. Not a great feeling about this one, but I suppose the offense has to have a good game sometime.

    Good call razzzor.
