I've been reading up on the draft forum, but I just haven't really posted in it. To me, their pick is still pretty high. They can obviously get a very good player. To answer your other questions, I'd always like them to take the best player available, but I wouldn't mind seeing them take a college pitcher this year. They haven't taken a college pitcher in the first round since I started following the draft, and now that the Brewers seem closer to competing, it would not be a bad idea to get major league help sooner. No, I won't throw my computer through a window if they take a high school pitcher. From what I've been reading, however, it sounds like there is a good chance that the best player available will be a college pitcher. It doesn't sound like this is as talented of a draft as last year, especially at the top, but it does seem like there are a lot of solid first-round caliber college pitchers. It seems that one will certainly fall to the Brewers spot. Picking outside the top 10, it is really hard to project who will be available, so that may be why there isn't as much interest as last year either. Last year people were mainly speculating between Braun, Maybin, Tulowitzki, or Romero. It seems a little harder to make a guess because of the later pick. Either way, I'm still excited for the draft and will start to follow it even closer now that it's a month away.
