  1. Well then it's a good thing we're not talking about playing Cirillo at first all season. Like you said, it's one game.
  2. Well last time Yost played Cirillo at first he had like three hits. Not to look ahead, but if Sheets is able to throw on Thursday there will be an awesome Sheets-Peavy match-up.
  3. PrimetimeHater, Jared Hughes is the guy I've particularly followed. He hasn't done great lately, but I love the ground ball-ness.
  4. I've been reading up on the draft forum, but I just haven't really posted in it. To me, their pick is still pretty high. They can obviously get a very good player. To answer your other questions, I'd always like them to take the best player available, but I wouldn't mind seeing them take a college pitcher this year. They haven't taken a college pitcher in the first round since I started following the draft, and now that the Brewers seem closer to competing, it would not be a bad idea to get major league help sooner. No, I won't throw my computer through a window if they take a high school pitcher. From what I've been reading, however, it sounds like there is a good chance that the best player available will be a college pitcher. It doesn't sound like this is as talented of a draft as last year, especially at the top, but it does seem like there are a lot of solid first-round caliber college pitchers. It seems that one will certainly fall to the Brewers spot. Picking outside the top 10, it is really hard to project who will be available, so that may be why there isn't as much interest as last year either. Last year people were mainly speculating between Braun, Maybin, Tulowitzki, or Romero. It seems a little harder to make a guess because of the later pick. Either way, I'm still excited for the draft and will start to follow it even closer now that it's a month away.
  5. Why the bashing on Jenkins and Wise? Jenkins has been hitting *very* well lately, and he has one oh-for and everyone is ripping him! He was the only guy to hit Schmidt, and he hit a huge home run on Thursday. Lighten up! Also, why no trust in Wise? He gives up a slap bunt, and a cue-shot lucky hit. I don't think he is to blame at all. Luck happens.
  6. He's struggling? Actually he was on fire before this game. It's just one game.
  7. This home plate ump doesn't have a clue. What garbage...
  8. Fair enough. Nice to see you here after a win.
  9. No offense, but as far as I've seen you're the only one who has disputed that he is our ace.
  10. Ok Jenks fan, I apparently mis-read your sarcasm, so sorry about that. Now knowing you were being sarcastic, it was funny.
  11. Maybe my sarcast-o-meter is off too, but I think you're serious. Why is your name Jenks Fan? And we were down by two runs the whole game... how is three hits not valuable? In the ninth, he got a huge hit to put two runners on for Lee and Prince. Give me a break.
  12. I was late, but I'm still piling on the Jenkins bashers. I wish he wasn't such a choker.
  13. Yeah, because Jenkins yesterday was the only one who could hit anything...
  14. Well, I don't mind being the beneficiary of his contract year.
  15. Yeah I kind of think they will plunk him. I thought that right away.
  16. Oh my, I wouldn't want Prince running over me. Wow...
  17. Not bad. Could have been a lot worse.
  18. I LOVE beating up on Zambrano. Let's clear the bases and inflate that ERA even more!
  19. There's nothing better than roughing up Carlos Zambrano.
  20. That was a bad call... it should have been a base hit. And now it didn't cost anything. Cappy pitched out of it.
  21. Wow that was such a ball. Should be 3-0.
