  1. Well, cue the angelic chorus, I guess. Not to step on the GIFMaster's toes, but...
  2. This would be a miracle if they end up not scoring this inning.
  3. Every time I see Estrada, I think of the fact that he was guaranteed a bullpen spot this year for no reason at all.
  4. I almost like when Wolf sucks, because it justifies my dislike for him.
  5. And Samardzija keeps it interesting. Ugh. Why on Earth does RR hit Gonzalez ahead of Kottaras against a righty?
  6. If Greinke goes, I'd rather let Marcum and Wolf go as well and blow the whole thing up. Could get a bunch of picks plus whatever you get in trades for guys like Weeks and Hart. Shouldn't take too long to get back in the picture. Mark A most likely won't sign off on that, though.
  7. There have been multiple posts explaining how Greinke is absolutely in that discussion with Cain. As for waiting to see what Hamels gets, why wouldn't they want to get it done before Hamels? What if Hamels signs for more than Cain did? Then they're even more screwed. And yeah, I'd be shocked if Marcum has a better year as well.
  8. Yeah legging out that possible double play was impressive. He's about what I expected, but I had high hopes for him.
  9. Yes they will be fine of course, but the right move to make if he leaves is to trade Hart and Weeks and reload/rebuild/whatever you want to call it. It shouldn't take several years if they hit on those trades. Of course, we're probably getting ahead of ourselves, because there's still hope that they can sign him.
  10. If he reaches free agency, he'll get well beyond what Cain got. Probably over $150 million.
  11. All these damn teams throwing their money around the last couple weeks probably led to this, at least in some degree.
  12. "We decided to let it rest for now." We? Have to wonder what's really going on. Most likely that means Greinke wants to test the market, or at least thinks he's going to raise his price with his performance this season.
  13. Even still. The Reds really love a nucleus that has them right around .500 over the past three years. Phillips will be good for a few more years, but for about have of this contract it will look pretty bad. They'll be paying an insane amount for Phillips and Votto into their late 30s.
