  1. I think the Lawrie comparison works better with Coulter. Both catchers with defensive questions, power, and linked to the Brewers from the start.
  2. Feeling a little better after reading reports of Haniger showing "good plate discipline" this year. Not sure where the Francouer comparison came from.
  3. Weickel and Smoral still available. Would be nice picks.
  4. I'm about to do it to myself again. Will one of Piscotty, Eflin, or Gallo be around at 38?
  5. Gallo, Eflin, Piscotty, Coulter
  6. Watch the Cards select Gallo. I can feel it.
  7. Now I'm hoping for Gallo and/or Piscotty.
  8. Seems like hitters are going earlier. Wonder if this means the Brewers will switch to pitchers?
  9. Yeah, not even close. Watch the Cards get Giolito now.
  10. Goldstein saying he might fall to Nationals at 16. So much for the new rules changing the nature of the draft.
  11. Seager would be a pretty exciting pick, but it sounds like it would be risky as well. Goldstein said there's a "very real chance" he'll go to college if he isn't picked in the top 15.
  12. Apologize if this is being discussed somewhere else, but why on Earth haven't they moved Mark Rogers to the bullpen yet? After this year he's out of options, and he is just struggling mightily with walks as a starter. He clearly isn't going to be a starter next year with the Brewers; the only shot he'll have is as a reliever. Doesn't his stuff translate very well as a reliever? What am I missing?
  13. That's the obvious move. It seems they are set on one of two things: not playing Hart at first very often, or not playing Green at second almost ever.
  14. Rivers, Waiters, Lamb, Ross. Someone like that with a high ceiling. Man, they bungled this past season. Should be picking in the top 7 at least.
  15. This is definitely an important point. They'd get an absolute haul of players if all these guys were dealt, and surely some would be MLB ready. It probably wouldn't be more than a year before they'd be trying to contend again. Not too bad of a result if they can't turn it around this month.
  16. Aren't there serious doubts as to whether Castro can stick at shortstop? I'm not sure how his bat will play at another position, at least any time soon. He has five walks this year.
  17. Oh man, Andy Marte. Around the time I discovered Brewerfan, the love for him here was Profar x 10.
  18. I don't exactly understand the motivation for the new FA compensation rule. Why does they player need to be with a team all year? Are they trying to lessen the excitement of the trade deadline?
  19. TV guys talking about food in the sixth inning. Must be a bad game.
  20. How do you let Izturis hit here! And Maysonet on deck! What the hell!
  21. After seeing it, I'll say 5. That was really aggressive. I think the ump thought he was about to be attacked.
