  1. Anyone know if the interview is archived somewhere?
  2. I realize they were ranked that way, but my comment was mainly my opinion that Ohio State is the best 2. Obviously they did not agree.
  3. Yes. How does Ohio State, the best of the 2 seeds, end up with the number one overall seed?
  4. I agree the Milwaukee games are weak.
  5. Kentucky has to be the best matchup for them of all the one seeds. Reminds me a lot of the K-State team with Beasley everyone hyped up years ago that Wisconsin pummeled. Kentucky hasn't seen much defense like Wisconsin this year. Kansas would probably destroy them. Syracuse is tough too. I don't like the odds of beating Duke twice. I assumed they'd get a 4, so that's the team I wanted to play in a potential Sweet 16.
  6. w00t UW-WVU in the elite eight will be a good game.
  7. Boy, that's a tough one. The bubble seems particularly weak this year, but the committee claims they aren't weighing the last 10 games as much as they have in the past. Mich. St. and Purdue are solid wins, but both of those teams are trending downward big time right now.
  8. I have a hard time calling it a horrible performance when they didn't appear to be lazy IMO. It seemed to be just a bad (ok, horrid) shooting day. They showed great energy at the end, so hopefully they have something to build on for the tourney. I just hope this doesn't hurt their seed too much.
  9. Enjoy that 6 seed Badgers. Yikes.
  10. What a frustrating first half. Hughes has been terrible--he's missed four layups. Illinois is as hot as Wisconsin is cold... That can't keep up, but they need to wake up here.
  11. Wow what a gross way to lose! I'm glad though... Beating Michigan wouldn't help UW move up. Beating Ohio State would (in theory... never know with the Badgers and seeding).
  12. I hadn't heard about that Montana game. Cool story. From the JS: When Leuer was out, 48.8% of the Badgers' shots were threes. Since he's been back, 24.7% have been threes. I knew it was a drastic change, because I remember screaming about settling for threes, but that's pretty nuts.
  13. Plus, why would scouting directors for small market teams even vote honestly? "I really like this player. Let's vote him into the top 40 so he prices himself out of our range!"
  14. Great win! DJO was awesome, and Hayward was his normal self, but I think the key was Cubillan's D on Scottie Reynolds. I've never seen Reynolds frustrated like that. Now comes a winnable game against Georgetown. They can play their way off the 8/9 seed, if they haven't already.
  15. Dan Haren is my favorite pitcher aside from Sheets, but he's probably a star. Kevin Slowey, Brett Anderson, Ricky Nolasco, Adam Wainwright, Scott Baker, Ross Ohlendorf. Aside from Weeks, for hitters we have Franklin Gutierrez, Mike Cameron, Nick Swisher, Russell Branyan, Nick Johnson, Andrew McCutchen.
  16. Bogut has become a force. He's the reason they're going to make the playoffs.
  17. Being in Kentucky's bracket is my dream scenario. Depending on who else is there, there's a good chance I'd pick the Badgers to at least the elite 8.
  18. I must be the only one I know not overly impressed with Community. It's had some good episodes, but there have been a lot more that haven't made me laugh once. This past one was cringe-worthy for me. Really? They're going to strip down naked to play pool? Parks and Rec is the best thing going on TV (tied with Modern Family). "That doesn't sound like the attitude of an award winner." "Everything I do is the attitude of an award winner, because I won an award."
  19. Not that it matters that much, but I don't understand all the Kalin Lucas love. He's not as great as everyone says. Lucas: 14.8 points, 1.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 2.4 turnovers, 45.5 fg % Trevon Hughes: 15.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.0 turnovers, 41.2 fg % Jordan Taylor: 10.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.2 turnovers, 39.8 fg % Jason Bohannon: 12.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.3 turnovers, 48 fg % Lucas is a good but not great scorer who turns the ball over too much and doesn't rebound. Somehow he makes first team, Hughes makes second, Bohannon makes third team, and Taylor is left off entirely. Yet by the numbers, you could make the case that all three of these Badger guards have had better seasons. Certainly when you factor in defense, I'd definitely take at least Hughes over Lucas. Also, these numbers made me realize JBo has been even better than I thought. I didn't know he was grabbing almost four boards a game, and 48% shooting for a guard is outstanding. But because Lucas was a pre-season pick, and because he's on Michigan State, it doesn't matter.
  20. The sad thing is both Ed Wade and Dayton Moore were just extended.
  21. As far as the Big Ten Tournament goes, I feel pretty good saying that either UW or Ohio St. will win. Unfortunately, they're on a crash course to meet in the semis instead of the finals.
  22. Badgers are playing their best ball at the best time. Hopefully Trevon's ankle is fine.
