  1. 1.35 ERA, .176 BA vs. Brewers 4.23 ERA, .260 BA vs. other opponentz. 3.53 ERA, .248 BA Overall Stats Thanks, I gotta be honest,I thought the variation would be even bigger. It probably would be if you only counted starting pitching.
  2. Hopefully we'll score 2 in the next inning like the Cubs did in the same situation yesterday.
  3. Miley probably gets a shot after that dominant start. Move Suter to the pen, Woodruff optioned back to AAA, DFA Saladino to make room for Miley.
  4. Cubs beat us by a whopping 2 runs in 2 games and apparently we are the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked. Our offense played 2 bad games against 2 very good pitchers. It happens. Go get em tomorrow.
  5. DRA shows Drake having a much better start to the season than a lot of the much shinier ERAs in the Brewers pen.
  6. Well at least that "scoreless" streak for the bullpen continues...
  7. Jennings threw that 90mph outer half and up twice in a row, what a shocker it got hit into right field.
  8. I've never seen this happen once, but Suter walked Heyward earlier on 4 pitches, 3 of them in the strike zone. Pretty awful, but we're taking advantage at the right time I hope.
  9. Ump certainly isn't doing Darvish any favors against Cain either. EDIT: Nevermind he gave him one back on that 3-0 pitch.
  10. The Brewers just aren't likely to ever be a team that can ever have that kind of rotation, so relying on that metric to win a WS is probably not going to be the way to go. I think with our current roster and list of prospects, our best shot was always that a team of 25-30 slightly above average guys can hold their own against a team with 10 elite players and 15-20 average players. We just aren't likely to have many (if any) of those blockbuster superstar talented players on the roster anytime soon.
  11. Baseball's a funny game. Credit to Suter/Pina/coaches for making in-game adjustments to save this one so far.
  12. That would be a 5.40 ERA, which would have been the second worst in the entire NL last season among qualified starters Just out of curiosity, how many guys you'd qualify as 5th starters actually make the list of qualified starters? You could obviously do better than that line, but especially with our bullpen, that line is going to keep us in ball games.
  13. Suter has had a real knack this season for making me want to vomit toward the beginning of games and then settling in and keeping us in games. Not every start but that's been the case for several of his starts so far, and it's starting to look like that'll be the case today.
  14. I work with plenty of people who suck at their job and don't get fired. It's hard to fire people. Much harder when they're in a union (which I'm not).
  15. Suter just struck out Heyward on 3 pitches...then threw ball 4. C'mon ump wake up.
  16. The writing has been on the wall for a few weeks that Suter only had a few more starts to prove his case. I'm assuming the plan was now that Guerra has locked down that 4th spot for now, Suter gets his chance until Miley is ready. If they want to go with Miley at that point, cool, otherwise Woodruff should really be in there and either way move Suter to the bullpen. If they go with Miley, my guess is he's on a start-to-start basis and if he screws up too badly, they cut him and go with Woodruff.
  17. All things considered, that inning could've been a lot worse...Suter looked completely lost.
  18. Barnes definitely didn't get this opportunity to break in slowly, and despite pitching pretty well (especially by peripherals even when the results weren't there), he has gotten quite a lot of grief from certain fans.
  19. Last 3 days - IP for bullpen: Jeffress: 0.2 Barnes: 1.1 Hader: 0.2 Albers: 1.1 Williams: 1 Jennings: 1.1 Woodruff: 0 Drake: 0 I'd say that's pretty decent shape.
  20. I like Williams a lot, but his stuff far outweighs his command at this point and we're lucky that we don't have to rely on him in really important spots just yet.
