  1. We will see where his priorities lie but I would understand him or anyone else choosing a far bigger salary over the higher position. The truth is the Arnold contract runs out after the season so we will all find out soon enough.
  2. Two playoff runs vs one is the difference you choose to ignore.
  3. We really are not a very exciting team thats for sure.
  4. I think he was worth more now when a contender would have him for two playoff runs.
  5. The worst part if this is the beginning of a collapse is that it happened a few weeks too late so we didn't cash in on Burnes.
  6. Hey Arnold how is that run prevention all in strategy working out. Sorry but there is no excuse for having an offense this terrible and giving away Urias who has the potential to help this lineup.
  7. This is totally last season playing out again.
  8. The defense that inning was brutal but the fact is you can't expect to keep winning these games with little to no offense.
  9. Where would this team be without Payamps.
  10. Just too much pressure on this bullpen every night to shut the opponent out.
  11. Just pay Turang near the minimum to play short instead of paying Adames the 8 million or so that he would get.
  12. Its time to give Hiura a shot to be the DH.
  13. He can be the top guy here and make whatever the average GM makes which I would guess is 2 or 3 million a year or he can go to the Mets and make 10 with an owner that will pay big money to his entire front office under Stearns. Eppler I'm sure is being paid a lot just because he's friends with Stearns even though everyone knows he's completely incompetent.
  14. Its fair to ask why Arnold has not been extended as of yet. Until we hear that he has we should consider that both he and Tod Johnson could follow Stearns to NY.
  15. They are paying the Astros 54 million.
  16. The only good that can come from this is the other owners finally working together to get a salary cap after this CBA ends. If not things will only get worse as Cohen just throws money around to buy prospects.
  17. Cohen paid 54 million to Houston to buy the two prospects. What a joke.
  18. Who says Stearns won't take them with him to New York. Cohen can pay Arnold 10 million without a second thought and throw say 5 million a year at Johnson. Don't discount the possibility of something like this happening.
  19. Look how much money that guy is throwing around. He has probably thrown at a minimum 50 million into these deals so thinking he can pay Stearns 20 million a year plus whoever Stearns wants from our front office is hardly a stretch.
  20. I'm kind of surprised the Brewers didn't trade for him to pitch and DH.
  21. Its not good for the sport and certainly not good for the Brewers when someone like Cohen can spend as he can. You can bet he will pay Stearns upwards of 20 million per year and will offer several Brewers employees huge raises that this owner cannot match.
  22. We probably aren't far off from baseball becoming like european soccer where guys like Cohen pay some outrageous fee to small market teams for top prospects and established stars with years of control before free agency.
  23. Lets see how thrilled everyone is with Stearns once he starts pillaging our front office.
  24. I am sure that Stearns hasn't had his hands in this at all considering Eppler is his best friend and Cohen has a history of insider trading in the markets.
