    After watching this weekend I think this division race is over. The Reds belong in AAA as does every other team we have to face. The Cardinals are more likely to be drafting in the top 5 than challenging for the division title and no other team has any talent so the Brewers should win the division even if they only win 82-83 games and could even win it if they finish below .500 which probably won't happen with all these games against these divisional teams which are all horrendous.

    I would say 83 wins takes this division for sure and it really could be won with as few as 78 wins.

    We will take whatever wins we can get but this is clearly a matchup of two bad teams.

    The fact that people are arguing Ruf vs rowdy against lefties tells you everything about where this team is headed.

    We have a AAA lineup yet the focus is always on the umpires screwing this team. Start to face the fact that this team sucks and complain that the front office put us here instead of complaining about the umpires.

    We really have to win a game like this with our ace facing a bad team with a terrible pitcher going against us.

    Yeah but have you seen the exit velocity on some of these ground balls.

    The longer we hold on to Burnes the lower his value gets and taking the draft pick compensation is just not smart for the future. Hopefully Burnes pitches well and we cash him in at the deadline where a contending team will have him for two playoff runs. The sooner we realize that this team isn't good the sooner the selloff can begin.

    It would almost be better for the future of the team if we didn't play in such a weak division so we would be sure to sell instead of hoping to scratch into the playoffs to get crushed by whoever we play.

    This offense is not going to get meaningfully better; we just don't have good hitters. Sure this team can win a division where all the teams are bad but the smart move is to trade the players coming up on free agency after the 24 season and even listen on Devin. Fact is this team is the 7th or 8th best in a weak national league and is certainly no championship contender.

    Not only is this team bad but its incredibly boring. At least during the Melvin years we would lose 12-10 and see some offense but this lineup is total trash.

    This team can't afford to let an asset like Burnes leave without getting anything besides a late first round pick in return. I am in favor of extending Woodruff but this owner doesn't seem to want to do any other big money deals after the Yelich flop.

    Considering it might only take 78 wins or so to win this division they will probably keep him which is stupid.

    How much more of this awful play is it going to take for people to realize we need to trade Burnes and accept this team is not good enough.

    Is there really going to be a backlash if this team is hovering around .500 at the deadline if they trade Burnes. If this was a 90 plus win team poised to win a World Series I would understand the apprehension but as long as this team keeps playing as it has Burnes should be traded.

    I am all for pitching and the position players should be anything but the punchless middle infielders that this team just won't stop drafting but I agree that I would avoid catchers early.

    Stearns gets credit if Ruiz turns into a star but he gets no credit or blame for Contreras and Payamps since he quit before that deal was made.

    I would be very happy to see Attanasio sell the team. Its clear he doesn't have the deep pockets necessary to get this team to win a World Series. He did better than Bud at the end but his ceiling as an owner has been reached which wasn't very high to begin with.

    I'm all for giving the young guys a shot but Wiemer can't hit and Turang looks like a typical punchless middle infielder. I wish this team would stop wasting so many high picks on middle infielders that aren't good offensive players.

    When Gasser learns how to throw strikes we can revisit this and Stearns gets no credit for Contreras who has disappointed or Payamps since he quit before that trade was made.

    The only good that can come from the season is getting a great return for Burnes and hopefully Arnold does a better job than Mr Met did in his subpar return for Hader.
