  1. Terrific bases loaded and no one out. Since Burnes isn't facing the Brewers offense this could get ugly fast.
  2. I don't care for Hiura much either but he does hit righties better than McCutchen.
  3. We need Adames back for sure but make no mistake this is not and will not be a good enough offense without a big time acquisition if not two.
  4. Doesn’t change the fact that they should both be dropped towards the bottom.
  5. What other contending teams would continue to go with Yelich and McCutchen as their 3rd and 4th hitters.
  6. Nothing is going to stop Counsell from continuing to have Yelich and McCutchen as the 3rd and 4th hitters against righties.
  7. Every other potential playoff team has star offensive talent and we have none despite Yelich being paid like a franchise player.
  8. To get through the NL the Brewers most likely will have to get through both the mets and dodgers. Compare the lineups of the Brewers vs those two teams and it’s flat out not even close in talent. A big reason of course is that they both have payrolls twice as high as the Brewers but this is the terrible system we are forced to compete in and we just don’t come even close to matching their offenses. The Brewers are going to have to out pitch these teams and without potentially Peralta and a rather thin bullpen it’s going to be a hard task. Without much in the way of financial flexibility I don’t expect much to help the lineup by the deadline which makes this team likely to have a quick playoff exit if they even make it there.
  9. This discussion is about Yelich and the advanced stats saying he is hitting the ball well when it looks far different to those watching the games so I have no idea where the strawman talk comes from. If you think that Yelich is playing well thats fine but all I see is a struggling guy who rarely hits the ball in the air.
  10. You just pointed out that they had Freeman who is far better than anyone we have and we really have no star caliber players. Yes we can get hot at the right time but I just don't see it with this cast of characters.
  11. How many years are we going to hear about how hard Yelich is hitting the ball with nothing to show for it. Its not like any player is going to have a high slugging percentage when the ball is always on the ground. I appreciate analytics but I don't see how anyone can think Yelich is playing well if they are watching him hit.
  12. It would be nice to have one or two hitters that the other teams fear and we just don't have that.
  13. I don't think just making the playoffs is the goal anymore. We all know that anything can happen in the playoffs and that getting hot at the right time is huge but I just don't see this offense being capable of hitting the Mets and Dodgers pitching staffs.
  14. The stats crowd loses me with regards to Yelich. Does it really matter how hard you hit the ball when its never hit in the air.
  15. I don't know who Stearns will eventually get to improve the lineup if anyone but I would hope he aims hire than he did last deadline with Escobar.
  16. This was always going to be a challenging month regardless but with the injuries it could get ugly fast.
  17. Hader made it clear a few years ago that he wanted to be used as a classic 9th inning closer and we have gone along with his request. This hurts the team for sure but its what the player wants.
  18. This team has I'm guessing without looking up the numbers somewhere over 60 million tied up in an outfield where only Renfroe of the guys making big money is not a complete waste.
  19. I can give you the answer to that question and you won't like the response.
  20. People complained about the Braun second extension but he was 1000 times the hitter that Yelich is.
