Josh Donaldson would have been a perfect pickup at the deadline but we can't afford that contract. Hopefully a long lockout will solve that issue this offseason.

This team is built on pitching and defense. Its not hard to believe we are struggling to hit good pitching.

Please stop while you’re behind. This is easy to disprove. Wong is a good player but not a feared hitter. Besides Adames we don't have one hitter that other teams worry about facing.

How about the fact that Adames is really the only good hitter on this team. We have some other good position players like Wong but Adames is the only hitter that anyone should worry about facing.

Besides Adames this team doesn't have one good hitter. The difference between these two lineups is vast. Stearns needs to acquire a legitimate star bat this offseason.

Devin Williams to IL with hand injury

This selfish act should lead to Stearns trading him. I hate the thought of Box pitching meaningful innings in the playoffs but that’s where we are due to Williams not thinking straight and hurting his team. -
Have to question how this lineup is going to score against the pitching they will face in the playoffs.

Better hope we shut them out the rest of the game because this offense doesn't look like its going to score again. Escobar is a nice player but I really was hoping we would acquire more of an impact bat like Donaldson at the deadline.

Certainly doesn't feel that way. If this continues the rest of the season it will be the biggest choke job in the history of baseball. I am all for making history but would like it to be positive.

What I don't get is why some fans feel the need to lecture others on how to feel. Those that think this race is over will hopefully be proven correct but its not wrong for those of us who are pessimistic by nature to be feeling nervous.
