  1. Yelich should be batting 9th or on the bench until he shows something.
  2. Yeah but Yelich has an unbelievable exit velocity on his ground balls.
  3. As well as we have done drafting and developing pitching the fact is we don't have one home grown everyday player in the lineup unless you count Cain who was drafted by the Brewers and reacquired as a free agent. This failure is a big reason why our lineup sucks.
  4. I was saying this last season but I think Yelich may have not recovered from fouling the ball off his leg at the end of that season. He absolutely doesn’t seem right physically and we are paying the price. Attanasio made a huge mistake giving him that contract before seeing Yelich back at full strength. it’s been more than two full seasons since Yelich was MVP caliber. Has there ever been a player go from MVP to hitting at a level where you just hope he can draw a walk so quickly. It’s just hard to believe that a player can go from being one of the very best hitters in baseball to punch less singles hitter overnight.
  5. I don't remember the last time I hated a Brewers player as much as I CURRENTLY hate Yelich. That currently was capitalized in case he turns it around but I just hate watching the guy play the last two seasons.
  6. I love the pitching but think the offense is atrocious.
  7. I'm fine with that but Rowdy hasn't cemented himself into the spot.
  8. Good job Rowdy but to be fair I thought Norris was coming in.
  9. Let Hiura pinch hit for Rowdy and let there be a competition at first base.
  10. Love Burnes but this offense is going to have to pick him up today.
  11. How long do we go on about how hard this guy is hitting the ball when its not resulting in anything. Yeah we are stuck with him but he's been terrible for two seasons in a row.
  12. Its just one game but this offense looks awfully similar to last season.
  13. At least yelich is hitting his groundballs hard.
  14. This is a big loss with Severino being a potentially nice bat and Narvaez not being a sure thing.
  15. The offseason to me deserves an F. The lineup needed a big upgrade and we flat out did not get it. A smaller move that I dislike was bringing back Boxberger over Hunter Strickland. I think this lineup is way short of championship level and don't see the team addressing it in any meaningful way during the season. If anything expect an Escobar type of trade at the deadline which is not nearly enough. Castellanos would have been a perfect acquisition but we went the cheap route with McCutchen which won't help this team at all. Other than Adames who has had a brutal spring and hopefully Urias I don't see much upside in this lineup. Yelich and Hiura must both come through but its difficult to expect it to happen.
  16. The pitching should be good enough to lead the team to the playoffs but this lineup is not nearly good enough to win a championship.
  17. At this point in time Cain looks washed up and Yelich looks like a 5th outfielder.
  18. I don’t know how any fan of this team can be anything other than concerned about the lineup especially if Yelich is going to be bad. After last season it was obvious they needed a big time hitter and the Renfroe plus McCutchen acquisitions were not even close to good enough.
  19. Unless Yelich starts showing some ability to drive the ball his walk rate is going to plummet. Its time to really start wondering if this guy is even going to be an effective player much less a star going forward.
