  1. They shouldn't have needed any. If they do, it's on them. I mean, they've won 106 games?? Hard to say they haven't helped themselves. Still shouldn't need our help. They control their own fate.
  2. If it played out that way, I think I'd be OK with that. They used Urias tonight, Buehler tomorrow and then Scherzer for the tie breaker. If they lose that who pitches the play in game for them? Would be interesting.
  3. So that's a big no on Rea being the new 8th inning guy, right?
  4. Might get your wish tomorrow. I'm guessing him or Bettinger.
  5. It was more like “managerial indecision” in the moment. Very glad to hear it isn’t injury related. Did they actually say it wasn't an injury at all tho? Was he seen punching a wall in frustration afterward? So many questions.
  6. Missed it. How'd it take place? They didn’t have a pinch batter go out onto the field for a couple of minutes, and then the trainer was shown talking to Burnes in the dugout. Hmm, interesting to say the least.
  7. Name the last game we had every one of the everyday players in the starting lineup? Why are Gustave and Sanchez getting nods ahead of the normal relievers. Why is Hader being used in the 8th. Why are starters being pulled with far lower pitch counts than normal. if you think this looks the same then I don't know what you've been watching all year.
  8. Everybody has been getting ABs and throwing innings. There shouldn't be any rust. The question is, when we put our best lineup out there everyday, we let our starters throw innings and we use our best bullpen arms every game, are we better than the other team.
  9. We as a fan base don't really know, because the Brewers have never, ever been in this position. CC cans say whatever he wants about wanting to win these games but we are seeing B lineups almost every game and he is using the last guys out of the bullpen an awful lot. Meanwhile, the Cards and Ddodgers are still playing for positioning. These games just aren't being played out like the will be in the playoffs.
  10. I guess we don't have to pay attention amy more then. Barley 50/50 to beat Atlanta, no shot against LA or STL. Just pack it up now.
  11. You don't think Ashby is legitimate? How long has he been in that role? He is a legit question mark for sure... Well yeah, because Williams has. The doesn't mean Ashby isn't a legitimate replacement (not to mention Box or Strickland or Cousins). I just cant get on board with losing a reliever being more important than losing a starting pitcher the level of Kershaw or a 30 homer bat.
  12. You don't think Ashby is legitimate?
  13. Put it this way, I think Williams' hand is third on that list.
  14. If Avisail Garcia and Wily Adames aren't power threats, neither is Rowdy Tellez. Urias gets no love at all. I think Escobar is a power threat as well.
  15. Not really. His average FB velocity this year is 93.4. In his last start his FB velocity was about 92.5 while touching 95. Seems pretty in line to me. He's our third starter and will continue to be so in the post season, as he should.
  16. Yes, they can still win their division but it’s not looking good. The Giants magic number to clinch is just 2 and they play the struggling Padres this weekend. Well, the Dodgers are playing the struggling Brewers this weekend too... 4-2 over the last two series. I wouldn't call that struggling.
  17. I don't think they are actively trying to lose but they definately have higher priorities.
  18. Because Vogey is the slowest player in all of baseball I understand why CC had a pitch runner for Vogey but why Lauer instead of a position player? Only the sixth inning, why waste another position player there.
  19. Because we are not losing. Hah you may be right. Mets start a rally and instantly I see a whole lot more users on the thread. And you can pretty much predict who it is too.
