  1. To be fair, I don’t think anyone needs to wait to see how the Frelick development turns out to chuckle at the absurdity of someone making “the sky is falling” type prognostications over players they clearly don’t know much, if anything, about. I don't know why some of you are so offended that I didn't like the pick or have different thoughts on the team. Not once have I attacked another poster yet the vitriol comes in my direction all the time. Step back and think about why that would be for a while.

  3. The reason we have such a lowly ranked farm system is because we have graduated or traded for over half of the current 26 man roster which has won the 9th most games in MLB at the All Star break this year, combined with poor draft position because the MLB team has won the 7th most games since 2018 with all the players they graduated or acquired via trade from their poorly rated farm system. All our 1st round picks post Ray have performed consistently & steadily climbed the ladder through the system. Just because you don't understand or disagree with the philosophy doesn't mean it isn't working. I hear this low draft position excuse all the time but organizations like Tampa pick as late or later and have done quite well. So have the Brewers.
  4. Why Jose Altuve is even in the Major Leagues is quite the mystery Yes pick about the biggest outlier of all time to make a point. Mookie Betts, Ozzie Albies, Dustin Pedroia, Justin Turner Jose Ramirez, Kolten Wong, Brandon Lowe....
  5. We've graduated or traded for Narvaez, Hiura, Adames, Urias, Yelich, Woodruff, Burnes, Peralta, Houser, Hader, Williams, Suter & won the 7th most games in MLB over the last four years. 29th ranked farm or not, Ashby, Small, Mitchell & Turang are all due to start coming up over the next couple years & look like potential MLB contributors at this point. The models are working just fine. And Taylor, Cousins, Sanchez, etc. But a bunch of folks with limited information on a message board know best.
  6. Did you believe we would have 53 wins and a 4-game lead at the all-star break? Don’t be a prisoner to the moment. They had a gross series but they’ve been pretty good lately. They’ll be in the mix in the end. And it will be because of pitching and defense. If guys hit their innings limit, no matter who we trade for offensively, it won’t matter. They have actually been pretty bad lately starting with the Mets series.
  7. Doesn't mean Hader was good. He has blame here too. That’s fine to point out. But he’s back in the dugout with the game tied if he makes a damn play. Absolutely. Team failure.
  8. So his foot has to reorient to maintain control of the base but you guys are also complaining about Freeman blocking the base with his foot, in which case when he reorients his foot wouldn't be on the base. I can't get a great view right now because I don't have a way to slow the video down but if his foot is blocking the base and he's trying to get his foot reoriented, it stands to reason that his foot would have to be off the base in this position to get it back on the base which is why you see his foot slam down to get back on the base. "Stands to reason" is not among the criteria used to judge replays. Still haven't seen definitive proof.
  9. Sounds like I am not the only one that he stalks on the forum. You both have a lot in common. But I’ve barely said a word to titletownking. He’s just grumpy his trade proposal was not good and I said so. Not sure why he’s got his undies in a bunch over it. There a lot of bad takes over in the proposal forum. I’ve had plenty. The Foe button is a cool thing.
  10. You don't need air between his shoe and the base when his foot slams back onto the base. A foot doesn't slam back onto the base unless it was off the base. Still an assumption and not definitive.
  11. Doesn't mean it actually is definitive. The call shouldn't be made what you think happened.
