  1. I'm not nervous. Nor would I be if they were 2-13. It just doesn't look like a good match up for the series IMO.
  2. Yeah I know they have a horrific bullpen but that series worries me too. Which team on the schedule would you not be worried about? Any series in which Anderson and Lauer are starting the first two games isn't ideal. Mahle has been excellent as well so no real advantage in the third game either. Reds have the better lineup. It's not that I think the Reds are great, just doesn't look like good match ups going into that series.
  3. Just that one pitch? That seems weird. What would be the other explanations for a drop in spin rate on one pitch? Mechanics? It's not just the cutter but I focused on that since he throws that pitch more than all his other pitches combined. He's recorded the three lowest spin rates this season on his changeup, curveball, cutter, and sinker in his last three starts. The same would be true for his slider if not for his start on 5/19. However, his slider spin rate in that start is well below any of his other starts that it would almost seem to be an error. Where are you pulling spin rate data from?

  5. It's a game thread and the game wasn't going well early. Really not surprising that people were frustrated in a game that we were losing 4-0. I'm sure some comments were a little overreactionary, but just scanning through quick it doesn't even seem that bad at all. It's not like people were saying we suck and are a fluke. Really seems in poor taste to not have any involvement in the GT and then just show up 8 hours after the fact just to call out fellow posters for "dumb comments". I wouldn't go so far as to call other posters comments dumb but the IGT threads are pretty funny to read with the over the top negativity. Stearns sucks, Counsell sucks, the offense sucks, Haines sucks, the bullpen sucks, it is an automatic loss if they get behind by any amount of runs, it is a joke if they don't play perfectly every inning and on and on. One or more of these tropes show up in every single thread like you have to say these things or you're not in the cool kids clique. The team obviously has warts but I can't think of a team that doesn't. All of this for a team 10 games over .500 and what, a top ten winning percentage in all of baseball (and third in the NL). I mean, do your thing but it is what it is.
  6. Brewers had a lower level prospect that that happened to a couple years ago. Thankfully, I believe he survived and made a full recovery. I saw it happen when I was a kid playing little league. The fire department was literally across the parking lot and they still couldn't save him.
  7. Yeah, it’s probably just a matter of time before Logan Forsyth is up. Reyes doesn’t offer anything with the bat. Funny how McKinney was red hit and now is ice cold Over-exposure.
  8. No, they're not nearly as bad as they've looked the last 4 games. But they won't stay above. 500 long with the number of mediocre journeymen that they've had take the field lately. It was bound to catch up. I don't think anyone was under the impression that this is the '27 Yankees. I'm sure they'd rather trot out Narvaez, Yelich and Burnes on the regular. Marginal teams like the Brewers are always going to be in trouble when they get hit this hard with injuries.
  9. Exactly. There was going to be a cost for all of the injuries at some point. Taking 3 our of 4 against the Dodgers, regardless of today's score is a win.
