  1. I've been told Box is a good to solid option that we shouldn't be nervous about. You shouldn’t be all to nervous. He’s not elite like Hader but he’s been very good this season and has done some great work for Milwaukee. Still in 1st! Good win! His FIP was nearing 4 coming into this one. Very good might be a bit of a stretch. I think he is a lot closer to "just a guy" than not. I'm not saying the guy sucks but he should be the fifth or sixth guy, not the second or third.
  2. The majority of the pen is. Hader, Williams, Box, Suter, Richards are all good to solid options. They really need to round out the bottom to just not be a group of turds. Not sure I agree with that on the last three. All are just as likely to have a bad game as a good one and Suter and Richards should be the back end. I'm sure Ashby will be up sooner rather than later and maybe Wahl can give them something but they need some help.
  3. Half the pen could qualify for "last arm" status. Outside of Hader there isn't a guy out there I would trust.
  4. I'm with the start Lauer had. We just have no one to come in form the pen to shut it down once they did take him out.
  5. If Uiras is what he has been since the trade is third really an issue anymore, assuming Wong stays healthy.
  6. I mean there's a ton of garbage at the back end of the roster, but the top 3 starters are about as good as any in baseball, the back end of the pen is pretty good and Yelich, Narvaez, Adames and a couple others are pretty legit. I don't doubt that CC is doing a fine job but it's not like they're totally void of talent. They are not void of talent but it is surprising given the payroll they have Tim Lopes Hoby Milner Yardley etc on this team. Its not like you expect 25 all stars but man this team is really about 15 deep. The last ten guys are really a drag. The Cain contract is crippling. So is Bradley. Imagine the quality depth you could buy for 30 million dollars. And Peterson, and Reyes, and Lauer, and Anderson, and Peterson and...

  8. There are just too many guys on this roster that shouldn't be on a major league roster much less a contenders roster. What CC does is just amazing given the roster.
  9. That has to feel like a loss for reds fans. I wonder if they look at Suarez like we look at Keston.
