  1. It's going up now. It needed to be said so the 8th would go down the way it did.... Maybe if I didn't post that he would have still struck out the side... Naw, I am not a god, I just have god-like powers... I put it on the same level as the "Aguilar is coming back to earth" stuff.
  2. Let it go. I've had the guy on ignore for some time now. He just exists to agitate. Any halfway intelligent human being understands what happened with the crowd tonight.
  3. So I had to pick my kid up from the movies. Being not local I get the radio feed on XM. Ueck is slipping.
  4. Does he have a third pitch? Thought i heard he has 4 He does.
  5. To finish this year even, he’s the equivalent of trading for a bullpen arm. Mid season acquisition without giving anyone up. Good looking young arm! Crazy we have those now. TRADE HIM NOW!
  6. Could see something in offseason regarding the rotation realistically. If Nelson can pitch this year (rehab assignment, not even the MLB level) it would be nice to get some kind of idea what he could provide next year. If he looks MLB starter worthy then you could probably trade a starter. That would give 2 spots for Burnes/Peralta/(maybe Woodruff). Not saying it is a bad idea if you get a good offer, but honestly does anyone really think they would sell this month? I just don’t see it happening. Well, do you believe this is a collapse or just a rough stretch?
  7. I feel the frustration but in all fairness, lots of teams blow opportunities against this guy.
  8. I'm not saying it's likely but if the right offer came along I'd deal those guys. You can't refuse to trade a guy like Burnes for Machado and then stash him in the minors. He has to be a serious rotation candidate next year and you are going to have to clear some room to do that.
  9. I tend to agree with that notion. We will see what happens before the deadline, but major rentals like Dozier seems risky. Sorry for any confusion. I think my “win now” comment got taken too seriously as like 2018 now...I was referring to 2019-2020 This is generally what I'm trying to say as well. If someone wants to overpay for a Thames or Anderson, why not?
  10. They have a lot of work to do before I believe they are built to win now. And even if that were true they can still sell strategically. I don't think anyone is suggesting they blow up the whole thing and start over. Who are these strategic sells? Thames? Okay great, there are some flyers in the low minors. Jeffress? He has been a train wreck everywhere but Milwaukee (on and off the field). The return won’t match the return. We need him dearly if we want to compete in 2019 anyway. Maybe a Pina if someone is looking for a quality back up catcher. Are we strategically selling prospects? I mean I guess you could sell high on Aguilar if a team believes in him...but wow if he doesn’t regress, ouch. Thames, Knebel, Davies (if he can get back)/Anderson/Guerra (if he can get back) off the top of my head. They have some useful pieces to sell that wouldn't necessarily destroy their opportunities next year.

  12. I don't agree this team is built to win now. Too many holes for that to be true. Right now they are built for mediocrity which is the worse thing they can be. They aren’t selling, sorry....and they probably shouldn’t. We have a lot of promising players for next year. Burnes, Peralta, and Hiura. We can spend a bit in FA for either a C or SS. I’d put money on either Santana or Arcia rebounding. There are a ton of reinforcements for next year and big rebound candidates. You aren’t selling with all that for next year or trade some prospects for major addition. I didn't say anything about selling.
  13. They're really not, though. Neither the rotation nor lineup is very good at all. I can understand getting MLB talent because we're not that far away but the more I see I just don't think they're there yet. I think they're probably in a much better position for 2019. The problem is that the Reds are right there too and the Pirates aren't that far behind. St. Luis might actually be the team on the down swing here.
  14. I agree. It will be interesting to see how they try explaining this team imploding two consecutive years right at the all star break.

  16. LOL, Bill and Brian looking for silver linings before there is an out in the second inning.
