I think this road trip is very important. The Cubs are doing well right now and Washington is going to be tough. This will be a big test for the Crew. If they do well and are still in first place nobody in the league can underestimate them anymore.

Nelson, Shaw, and Santana are the core IMO. I would also add Arcia and Pina. I also add Knebel to the list.

Yay to the Blue Angels. Now for the Crew to get going and win this thing. Quintana had a good performance in his Cubs debut and they shut out the Orioles. Of course!

Shaw let the ump know that his pitch calling leaves something to be desired. Travis' last pitch was called a strike but not this time.

Scahill should be only on mop-up duty or not here at all. Blazek was doing well and got sent down because of options. Don't agree with it and it shouldn't be the norm.

Great series so far. Now we see what Garza can do. A sweep would be nice. The Cubs are doing well after the break too and the Crew needs to win to keep the lead.

Pablo Sandoval designated for assignment

Farrell and Dombrowski have finally finished making excuses for Sandoval. They traded Travis and gave him the job back hoping he would be the player they gave that big contract to. Sandoval is just another selfish player who wants the money and when he gets it proceeds to coast. He bashed the Giants when he left because he didn't want to take accountability for his weight problems. He should apologize to every teammate and fan in Boston. Also ownership. But he won't. Give me a team like the Brewers who have young players who want to go out there and do their best every time for their team and their fans. -

Lol, small sample alert. I have very little doubt that if Brinson was brought up for good and given an everyday spot, he'd very quickly outproduce Broxton. The conclusions drawn on so little never cease to amaze me. My opinion and if it amazes you so be it. Do you think Brinson hit the ball well when he was up? He was overmatched.

Guerra can't be counted on unfortunately. Either call up Wang or Stearns needs to trade for a SP.

The division can be won if the Cubs can't get it going and the others play like the first half. Stearns has done a fantastic job with this club. I choose to overlook Feliz. Looking at the standings today I am very happy.

Very happy camper here. Now the Crew can get rested up and more of the same or better for the second half. I hope Maddon doesn't abuse Knebel on Tuesday with too many pitches.

Got him looking! There's our All Star closer that ends this game. It was a real nail biter though. The Crew takes two out of three from the Yanks in NYC. Love it.
