  1. Thanks Burnie and Brett.
  2. I have seen Faygo, but never diet grape. Any idea what stores/chains?
  3. Has anyone ever seen this? I'm talking like Welch's grape or a Jolly Good or other store brand. I am glad they finally now have a cream soda and root beer, but have never seen grape.
  4. I'd go with Durant, but most would pick Oden. I think Greg may be a bit clumsy and very inconsistent his first couple years, but eventually be a top 5 C.
  5. FYI, Doug has said Yo may well join the bullpen this year IF HE CONTINUES TO DEVELOP. Given his sub 1 WHIP and 12 K/9 ratio, I'd say he'll be up one way or another by 7/1.
  6. The NL really does not have "long men", as they are often PH for. If you have a relief guy in the NL who often goes more than a couple innings, you have a horrendous team.
  7. I can't believe that word is still used in England either.
  8. How many times has Yo been traded for magic beans in another forum? He'll be up later this year, in the bullpen if no one falters. I could see a possibility of Carlos and Yo being 2 of our top 3 relievers in September.
  9. I feel Inman is quite a few notches below Yo and Ryan due to his lack of size. I'd trade him in the right deal, but like Brett, not for a 60 day rental. A Cordero type I would consider.
  10. Brantley has plate discipline, very rare in a youngster.
  11. Why would anyone use a word that's offensive to many? That alone means it should be banned.
  12. OXS and OPS comes pretty close to a all you need to know stat. BA is worthless. A .250 hitter can be really good or useless...that's the definition of a stat that means nothing.
  13. Weathers is a great, very useful reliever, but he signed with the Reds to close. I doubt he'd be moved, unless a team needs a closer.
  14. He runs fast. That alone should get him to AA, and we'll see how he hits then.
  15. I think they mean an everyday RH hitter, not basically a platoon guy.
  16. Hunter had one great half-season ages ago and he's still getting paid for it. His career numbers look pretty much like a Hart projection or maybe even a Gross platoon half...or less than that. His D has really suffered as well...and he's now in his 30's. I think he's a $4-5M player making $12M.
  17. Why don't we add 2 more OF's?
  18. Barring injury, I certainly do not see the need for yet another OF.
  19. There were just singles for Fri and Sat the other day at Brewers.com...however, they may get some group tiks returned, so keep checking.
  20. So far, I've only found my parking pass.
  21. As long as he has options, I don't know why KC would want to deal him. They aren't going anywhere until 2008, probably not 2009.
  22. He'd be a fine AAA guy. Other than that, no.
  23. Yo has not done a thing in the bigs, and very little in AAA. Assuming he'd do better than Vargas is pie-in-the-sky.
  24. Trading Vargas would weaken the major league staff, as bringing up Cappy or Sarfate would be a downward move from Claudio. We are well past the days of trading proven talent for kids, with an exception being a Carlos Lee type player who is about to leave.
  25. I might still have a tik from Sunday, I'll check.
