  1. Miller was the backup at 1B because Graffy was playing 3B already versus LHP. Now, it's Tony at 1B.
  2. I don't think Doug cares about Super 2 at all, and has proven as much in the past.
  3. Considering the state of major league catching, it's hard to believe he can't develop into a 700 OPS guy...that makes him an above average reserve.
  4. Yes, and it makes no sense. Seattle will probably be moving soon, so I doubt the NBA really wanted them to do well either.
  5. Never seen it in my life, in the Cities, Wausau, or Eau Claire. Thanks for the info, we plan on going through Madison soon.
  6. Yes, Portland is such a huge TV market. A conspiracy is silly enough, but one that makes no sense?
  7. Already said, but Broxton isn't going anywhere with LA winning. You need to look at KC and DC and find a clone.
  8. Considering neither Gwynn or Jenkins hits LHP much at all, you'd be weakening the big league team immensely (about 25% of the time) by dealing Mench. I don't see him going anywhere, unless we get a RH OF back.
  9. Errors in the minors are a joke, bad fields and official scorers with no clue. This entire season is probably a mulligan for him, though we should see some 2nd half improvement.
  10. Just a slightly lower ceiling than Eveland, but Zach does have a better body. He'll be a big leaguer, and quite possibly a SP for a while.
  11. Doug never stands in the way of a minor league vet having a better chance at the bigs. He was a ways down the list as a callup (I'd think 5th or lower) goes, so good luck to him.
  12. The cutoff is usually 100-105 days. I've posted this many times, but folks still think it's a specific date. As X said, it changes every year. Weeks will have about 110-115 days, and Doug has said many times he will be arby eligible, in all likelihood.
  13. Jeff Kent played quite a bit of 1B before switching back to 2B.
  14. Any Woodman's by 94 on the East side?
  15. Nix is a decent option as a reserve, but lacks the ceiling Gross and Gwynn have. That's why they are worth so much more in trade.
  16. Krynzel hasn't hit for half-a-decade. He's a dime-a-dozen OF who can run and field. Eveland was and is the key to the deal. He should at least be a loogy, maybe a decent relief guy, or possibly a #3/4 SP. He's still very young. His success will be how the trade is measured in a couple years.
  17. Probably only about half or so of standard cards are centered properly. The standards just aren't very strict for cheaper brands.
  18. By centered, he means there is less border on the left than the right.
  19. Wow. Simply a different world those idiots live in.
  20. Neshek is pretty limited, as he has very little success vs. LH bats, his ball moves right into them. He's a nice player pre-arby though.
  21. Take a look at the Cards' OF...they could use Gross, Gwynn, and so on.
  22. This is a contending team. The Crew will not move any veterans, they may well pick up one.
  23. Nix is not worth what he might become, which is a platoon option in CF or a decent reserve. Gross might have some real value to someone though, as might Tony Jr.
  24. Luis V may have asked for his release, especially if the Crew made it clear that he was just filler.
  25. Faygo does not have a diet grape listed, but on Peapod's grocery site, I saw my first ever, Diet Sunpop grape.
