  1. That's not the first time Happ has reacted like that to an obvious third strike. Sit down.
  2. Hopefully not by giving them a free runner in a one-run game. Woodruff hits someone, he’s gone.
  3. I have no problem with your way of thinking. Caution is fine. The suggestion that losing an early game can be a benefit later is worth debating. But the way you frame the argument? My choices are: 1."risk" to win early and 2. long-term injury? Well, then I didn't understand the choices and you are correct. You frame it in such a way (risk to win?) that it is not worth discussing. Same with the poster who suggested another option was pitchers' arms falling off from overuse. I think there is room for more nuance here. If Woodruff or Burnes came out to start the next inning, perhaps their arms would have fallen off. But they also may have been okay. And then they may have batted in the next inning and trashed their shoulder diving back into first base. We will never know.
  4. Okay, then let me know when the important games are so I can buy tickets to those.
  5. Yup, Coach Cooper had his own set of rules, and you either followed them, or you hit the road.....bub. Well ****, what's he gonna do to me since I called him Coach Carter?
  6. That has seemed to be a fairly common issue over the past two seasons before this one. Might be somewhat anecdotal, but I recall numerous in-game threads with that same complaint about not tacking on runs after scoring a few early inning runs. Search "pour it on" to find those. Or ask Coach Carter.
  7. Do umps always rotate through? Or is there an ump who never works home plate, or does the equivalent of skipping a turn in the rotation?
  8. Had it for years. No problems. I spend too much on tv services, but whatever. Pay $115 for ATT, which includes sports channels, most movie channels. Also pay for Hulu, Prime, Netflix, I have Plex, Appletv, got a Chromecast stick somewhere. It’s my wife’s job to call whenever ATT raises the bill and talk them back down.
  9. Oh, well, never mind then. If only Williams could have held the Cubs to .59 or .85 of a run the game would be over! How many of those games did a pitcher have a one-hitter going? On 74 pitches. Analytics can be so tiresome.
  10. Yes, I know. But most men are not professional athletes who get physical therapy/massage almost every week of their lives. You would think there would be less resistance to something when it's a part of your daily routine. Not worth arguing about it. Lots of George Costanzas out there.
  11. And I am curious to know if he ONLY used female therapists. It would seem if you are working your way through 40+ massage therapists, there would be a male in the mix somewhere.
  12. I understand letting Hiura have some time to figure it out, but does he have to figure it out from the top of the order?
  13. Never qualify nor apologize for your Card hatred. Never! It's like breathing.
