  1. Same. Plus its easier to root against Cards than for them. I find that rooting against the Cards is one of the easiest things I do in the day. Like breathing.
  2. Last season a Cubs fan troll joined and posted in several IGTs pretending to be a middle aged Brewer fan from Kenosha. His posts got more and more weird, and he continued to bring up his hardened Little League mentor, Coach Cooper, who stressed baseball fundamentals or else. I think Coach Cooper was obviously inspired by Morris Buttermaker. Thank you I think it all started with someone hoping the Cubs would lose, and that guy said his old Coach Cooper didn't believe in scoreboard watching. You should take care of your own business, and not count on other teams to lose. It has only grown from there. It's one thing on this board that consistently makes me chuckle.
  3. Help out a guy sitting at his desk in California. Did Gio pinch-hit for Woodruff? is he coming in to pitch next? Edit: never mind. Didn't realize that Gio pitched the third inning.
  4. Now I understand why his nickname is Nightmare.
  5. 14-4 since Relax, Roxane.
  6. At least he can go home to his pool. And pond.
  7. Okay, replace him in the rotation with...? You can't just make this decision by itself. You prefer Burnes, Peralta, Black, Faria, 2008 Sabathia? Sometimes decisions have to be made.
  8. Yelich's sustained excellence was holding the team back. Now the Brewers will be a lot more unpredictable. Other teams won't know who is going to beat them on a particular night. The ultimate mind game.
  9. Four in a row! Optimism thread should be at the top!
  10. You can check my math, but since Quintana has come over from the White Sox, I think he has started 112 games against the Brewers.
  11. If all of those teams are fighting for a wild card, they wouldn't have any more control over who to pitch in the game than the Brewers do. They certainly won't be able to set up their rotation. Any of those pitchers you listed may be pitching game 162.
  12. Just turned the game on last inning and started reading this thread. If it weren’t for the posts mentioning the score, I would think the Brewers are losing. And I like the uniforms.
  13. I went to the game on Saturday, and "lifeless" was the exact word I used. I felt that the whole stadium was pretty quiet as well, for what it's worth. Don't think Cub fans are that excited about how the season has been going to this point, either.
  14. Anyone’s Direct stalling out or is it just mine?
  15. [sarcasm]"Trent Grisham is a little better than Yelich." - Craig Counsell, July 31, 2019[/sarcasm] Here's how I read it: "he...is out-of-this-world... It’s like...Yelich...even...better. So we’ve taken note of it." Counsell's words, not mine.
  16. If I'm unable to watch a game, I always know how the Brewers are doing because I have a friend who only texts me when things are going badly.
  17. That’s a beautiful ballpark. One of my favorites.
  18. And Skowron's nickname was Moose. I just blew your mind, didn't I? Hang on, I have more connections to think up. Yas-Mantle Grandal? Nah, sucks. I'll get back to you.
