  1. Brewers haven’t had their 5-run inning yet. Spoiler: it will be the seventh tonight.
  2. Wow, as probably the biggest critic of Canha during his first two weeks, I gotta say, that was a bomb!
  3. Never mind, I think Harry Doyle answered me
  4. If Angel Hernandez is on third, does that mean he’s behind home plate tomorrow?
  5. Amazing quote by Brandon Lowe:
  6. Immaculate Grid today taught me that I know very little about the Dbacks history. Also, Walt Weiss never won a GG. I guess that is a spoiler, but don't use him.
  7. Ok, I just got home. Haven’t seen a single pitch. What happened? Go.
  8. A Reds/Brewers match of Billy Bates got me .1%. That day was also the only time I ever got 9/9.
  9. Dial the digits, we'll sue those idjits.
  10. Seriously? I thought it was "Dial initially, proceed litigiously."
  11. Sounds like Counsell is instilling the urgency to win every game by saying it will come down to the last week. Even with a sweep of the Cubs next week, the Brewers really can't close the race sooner. It's baseball, they will win some and lose some, no matter what Counsell says in a press conference. What if the Brewers go 21-8 up until the last week of the season? I think we would all consider that outstanding. If the Cubs go 20-10, the race comes down to the last week, even with what I would perceive to be a tremendous sense of urgency and superior play on the Brewers part. I don't think it's realistic to expect a 7-game lead on Sept 25 with six games to play. I would be ecstatic with a four-game lead with 3 to play!
  12. Would any of the outfield candidates listed be worth a look at first base?
  13. This is interesting. The same loss to the Cardinals, mentioned above, that dropped the Brewers to 329 under, also represents the low point in Attanasio's ownership. I guess it makes sense. The Brewers dropped to 945-969. Their current record through today of 1443-1372 since Attanasio took over is the high water mark in his ownership.
  14. Devin gets a Twin hitter out! Progress!
  15. Ah, the 4-pitch leadoff walk. My blood pressure is up
  16. Yes, but if the Brewers go 0-36, the Cardinals only need to go 15-20.
  17. Plus, for any Brewer fan to say another team has an easy schedule, when Milwaukee is what, 3-9? against Oakland, Colorado and Kansas City, just makes me laugh. A win over the A's is equal to a win over the Braves in the standings. Not sure if a loss to Oakland feels worse than a win over the Braves feels good. Since March 30, the Brewers have won 3.5 more games than the Cubs. That seems important.
  18. David Gruber is the only lawyer I’ll ever need. As he always says, “call once, that’s it!”
  19. My wife is not a baseball fan. I was watching the Braves the other day and I told her how jealous I was of all the hitters in their lineup and what a good team they have. She said, “so be a Braves fan, then.” I had no words. I’m sure she was trying to be nice.
  20. I love watching Brice Turang play defense. So glad he’s been allowed to battle through his hitting issues.
  21. Canha has a chance to win me over
