  1. Adding 1 more removes Houser and you are forgetting 1 of the 5 starters will also get bumped to the pen for the playoffs.
  2. and GO/AO is at a career best. And is it just me, or did SA get a lot less interesting to follow?
  3. Anderson demotes Barnes Nelson demotes Houser No need to get fancy. 5 of Davies Gio Woodruff Chacin Anderson and Nelson start. The other joins Peralta Burnes in the multiple inning monster group.
  4. He was already in AAA long enough that 2019 will not count as a full season of MLB service time. The only uncertainty is if he will qualify for Super Two which would mean four trips through Arbys instead of the standard three. I don't believe we will officially know that until the end of the season though. Just extend him. I don't know if he will ever be a great defensive 2b. I don't know if the power will be there to be a superstar. What should be pretty clear is this kids hit tool is pretty impressive and he should be an obp monster. That .408 in SA doesn't look like a fluke and its not that he got on 3 times tonight. It's the ease at which he makes hard contact with the ball and that he is shift proof. If he has power at the MLB level he's a 3 hitter, if not he could be a lead off guy. Just tonight... up the middle, BB, down the RF line, and into LF. I mean... come on.
  5. I don't know if you you'll want to send Hiura down if he his playing 2b and hitting like a RH Ben Gamel. All in all I'm very impressed with how chill he was about the call up. How much of a non-issue he made it. How he looked like he belonged immediately. This wasn't a Brinson Phillips looking kid flailing at the ball. He didn't let many strikes go by without putting his bat on the ball with some pop. Fouled off 2 good pitches in the 1st ab with 2 strikes. Took his walk. Harper made a heck of a play to make a foul ball an out. Then pulled one into the OF. Contact was good, doesn't seem to have a pitch region that bothers him. Doesn't reach beyond the far corner well but its a ball so don't swing at it.
  6. And Burnes still leads the league in homers allowed But has 3.00 ERA and 0 HRs allowed in 9 innings out of the pen.
  7. Cain Yelich on base twice all game. Braun now over 800 ops Moose over 800 ops Aguilar on base 3 of 5 times Grandal back over 800 ops Hiura the new team high 1417 ops Arcia over 250 avg and 700 ops
  8. 4.75 runs scored 4.34 runs allowed Back over .4 run diff. Anderson can replace Barnes any day now. Great game 1 for Hiura. Didn't look over matched at all.
  9. Thames with a decent play defensively! And now Arcia is mocking his body language on the field. LOL
  10. Saw it as well. Hiura can just flat out hit folks. Hard contract squaring up on everything... even the fouls are struck well. Welcome aboard! Gamel another one of our professional hitters!
  11. Pull the plug at 96 pitches or let the guy cruising take the 7th? He has dropped his ERA .53 today. 4.25 to 3.72
  12. LOL Harper! Tip the hat to him but Cain damn near put the ball in the same spot as Hiura.
  13. Braun just missed another. Sheesh he's streaking. Maybe we should limit him to 90 games during the season this year.
  14. His BBs are on a horrid pace. There have been at least 3 in the last 5 games where he swung on ball 4. That's not a quality you want in a leadoff hitter. Yeah, its part of his early season slump.
