  1. Yeah, has bucks schedule on front... badger basketball on the back. Insurance firm sponsored so not official bucks.
  2. thanks for the information... I need to double check this cuz I have 2 on my desk I believe. Unless its a lawfirm bastard version of a bucks schedule magnet. Will actually look at this tomorrow. Its small and i paid it no mind.
  3. We really as a fan base need to stop calling people a Loogey. We don't use our Loogeys as Loogeys. 2016 he had a solid number of appearances that were 1.1 to 2.2 ip. He's not going to be a specialist. He's a left handed arm with a strange look to his release. Another oddity for the staff. Hate giving up a pick that equals Lutz. There's a lot of people over the moon about him even after the quiet year. Hopefully they know an alteration to help Claudio against RHB because he'll face them plenty.
  4. Nelson Anderson Chacin Davies Guerra Peralta Woodruff Burnes Suter... count Hader who is comfortable in the role. (Yes Suter in 2017 1st time thru was 2018 Hader level ops allowed) Where ever will those innings come from they say? We have a lot of "starters." Guys who can use the 1st time through advantage and also grab a 4th when they look sharp and get a few low load innings. 1st time through has math on its side but 2nd time through still has positve math as well. Zach Brown's not far off in this scenerio either. Add in the revolving DH opportunities. Add in the anti-stack approach you force in the NL. A lot of plusses. Add in the ability to dominate 1 time through with a limited arsenal or survive it once with a pitch that's not working.. Quicker pitcher development. Using options to stash rest. Is Hader ready to start? Debatable but he's dominating. How about Woodruff? Probably not. Doing well. Peralta Burnes... up sooner than you'd expect. Doing their job in big games. Short stints are easier to navigate. The game is built for this. Our payroll can't afford aces. Why trade a bundle of assets for them for a few years when you can draft college developed arms who bust less and rush them to mlb success with less needed development. You open the door back up to take smaller arms who don't look like they will be able to hold up over deep pitch counts and not spit on their value as just reliever options. Lots of lots of plusses. More chances at players who hold value in some way. Not only getting pitchers to the mlb sooner... but also getting use from arms that in a traditional sense are over the hill. There are more than a few things. And is there any statistical data about a batters ability to adjust to changing velocity and styles from one AB to the next? One would assume facing Suter then Peralta would mess a person up real good. Does that exasperate the 1st time thru numbers to any degree? If it does these numbers get silly tilted. That's something to consider as well because we are collecting some odd ducks. Suter Claudio to Hader... Davies to power arm RHP. Difficult release points and strange tempos.
  5. Hope they can recover from this better than I'm proving to be able to. As said, miley 5, woody 3, jeffress 1 scary inning. That's really all we got. Going to need 8 more amazing innings from this crazy hodge podge group. Have to try to work Kershaw and get into their pen. They are about as used up as we are.
  6. I'm close to this but it has to do with perspective. I see a WS bid as attainable. 2-1 only raised that. Game 2 didn't hit me. Game 3 was awe. Game 4, I'm just devastated. 3-1 was a highly probable WS bid. Now, it feels the end is looming. Looming before it seemed a given. From cat bird seat to deaths door. I expected this to be a win. This staff was magical. They deserved it. But now I'm flat gutted. If Mke makes the WS, its absolutely house money for me. I'm giddy... well until it looks as if they could actually win it. Then the loses rip me apart. Expect nothing... easy to enjoy, fun Have something in your grasps... nervous Feel it slipping away... gutted Tonight feels like GBs implosion vs Seattle in the NFC championship game. This wasn't even an implosion but it's that hard to swallow. Didn't help I hit Boston hard enough that if the Crew won my night was going to be fairly profitable. It was a push with the L. Lots to be tormented by but at least the gambling part I'm used to.
  7. Traditionalist hindsight. The flare he hit almost dropped. If it had... no peeps made.
  8. Second guess... yes you can Blame... of course not They made some huge catches tonight. Multiple season saving moments for LAD tonight. It really feels like the pitching had to be perfect to pull this out. It was almost perfect but that last inning was a flawed strategy. Devastating...
  9. Ugh... throw junk to grandal to see if he chases after you see if bellinger chases. Then face a pitcher... ugh. That's oversite.
  10. Can't throw him a strike there. Just can't. First words from Bellinger... didnt think he was going to theow me a strike. Yeah...
  11. That's what I'm thinking. I'm assuming there will be at least a day off between the last game of the regular season and the playoff game, and then at least a day off between the playoff game and the Divisional series, so why not start Peralta or Burnes and plan on them going only 3-4 innings? Then Hader and the other of Peralta/Burnes for two innings each, leveraging a PH when needed, and that gets you to the 7th/8th inning where Jeffress/Knebel/Soria can take over. In reality it's one of Anderson/Chacin, but if they pitch the last two games of the season then I think you go committee for the playoff game. In all reality, as in, traditionally speaking. WC play in game... see last night. Freddie (short) hader jeffress burnes soria knebel. Everyone else can wait for game 1. Then in a series roll traditionally. Anderson Chacin Guerra in 1-2-3 should carry enough innings to keep the WC pen game from wearing out the pen. The big question for me is: Can Miley or Davies become the 4th starter and allow Freddie to hit the pen after the WC game? Hader burnes peralta soria jeffress knebel in the pen is pretty filthy. Even if we can rarely trust a starter for more than 4ip.
  12. Expected the shoe to drop at some point. There were connected rumors around here that melvin stuck his nose is this deal and that other brass in mke took it merely due to it being trade chips. Like the addition of Schoop. Let's hope we see last years version and July's version. Keep Hiura... watching Ray explode back to relevance...turang lutz as high upside youth with Burnes Peralta Woodruff Brown still in the fold wirks for me. No worries about dealing ortiz villar. That young stashed monster upside lottery ticket was a shame to kick in. I can rattle off a few names I'd have rather moved than Carmona. Kodi (and I've stuck with him) Lopez, Phillips (and his defense makes me giddy) ortiz I'll lose little sleep over. I hated seeing Yamamoto in the Yelich deal and hate seeing Carmona in this one. Farm fill and Carmona for Soria Moose and Schoop works for me. Can't protect them all and I see plenty of names ahead of them in the system.
  13. If we ride him for awhile here all we can hope for is him being a pen asset late season. Ive been downright stunned by his start as I assumed he was all set to be another pen weapon. Having him in that role for the playoffs is far from worst case. You see a lot of teams limit their starters to 4 innings in the playoffs. Hader Jeffress Knebel isnt going to be enough to cover a series. Having peralta in that mix helps a lot even if its 4 ip a series. Albers barnes taylor should probably see run when the starter fails their early game stint. Add jennings suter and whatever starters dont make the 4 as inning eaters should do the trick. I'd prefer to bring Davies back into the rotation and send Peralta down simply because Davies has closed seasons well. Anderson needs to find his last year stuff. We don't know if we can expect Chacin and Guerra to hold up. We don't know how nelson returns. You can either ride peralta now and hope we have 4 for the playoffs or see which of our 6 (anderson nelson suter davies chacin guerra) can place themselves in that 4 with a, no word play needed, ace up our sleeve.
  14. 3.52 era +.18 (3.8 expected target) 4.39 runs +.31 (4.9 expected target) +.87... closer. (1.1 expected target)
  15. Is that a known good benchmark? Sidenote: we're getting so many wins after facing challenges that we would've lost in the past. I believe it is. I talked a great deal in the offseason about dealing off pieces as we advance in the future in an attempt to stay at and sustain 1.1 run diff as a small market squad. That a OF/1b stack can allow a defense plus 2b SS C that punts O a bit and that a 3.9 staff era with a 3.65 pen era can be achieved cheaply while developing talent in the low demand spots. Staff 3.2 4.0 4.0 4.7 4.7 era. 2 pen aces and 6 guys around 4. Platoon and offensive weight at 1b OF where its cheaper to acquire and 1 of C 2b 3b SS being an impact stick. Yadda yadda... 1.1 looks like a playoff lock... 1.3 puts you in the running for 100 wins. So far we've been lucky at .9. Granted our balistic pen has made that luck happen. Optimism... this is earned "lucky."
  16. RPG 4.38 ERA 3.46 Creeping towards 1 run diff
  17. And santana crawls his ops over 700... keep on climbing
  18. Braun for Kemp and a prospect... shame that wasn't real.
  19. Not even a short leash thing. We are using relievers multiple innings, we have better options. He's a nonsensical fit and a suck bag. For some dumb reason CC just forgets Albers is available. He's tossed it to logan multiple times with albers in his back pocket.
  20. Get rid of this guy already... throws him a letter high middle in Fb in a 2-2 count. Trash.
  21. Rough go for Chacin but I'm not going to complain about 3.71 era at this point.
  22. 3.34 era couldn't have phathomed 4.08 runs... ditto. If the era holds and the offense gets back to last years totals this teams very scary.
