  1. On Sunday when they have the kids meet the Brewers players on the field would you want your young child running out to the mound to have a chat with Trevor Bauer? That most people would rather not is the reason he remains out of MLB. it has nothing to do with a bad boy image it’s the bad human image
  2. Jansen Junk, McKendry, the start calling around to see what depth people are in AAA which they could get by offering a major-league deal. With three healthy pitchers at this point, they’re gonna need people just to give them 4 innings a game. The minor-league shuttle system is going to get burned out.
  3. I’ll go there. I liked the 90s uniforms they wore at the end of the County Stadium era. They had piping, a throw back font style, an M on the hat and Milwaukee across the front of the road unis. That being said the Brewers have a branding problem: numerous different uniform styles, color schemes, mascots over the last 30 years. You cant have a heritage when you don’t know who you are. Why are the Yankees, Boston and Cub hats/unis etc iconic - because they haven’t changed them much at all in generations.
  4. I do like that Arenado forced his way out of Colorado because they didn’t win. Then he comes to St. Louis, where they had some regular season success initially but are now seemingly an also ran team due to a lack of quality pitching
  5. Yeah, free agency year. He will go 90R 25HR 90 RBI, hit .280 and get a 140 million dollar guarantee somewhere else over the off season.
  6. They have to teach him how to be more consistent in changing speeds and hitting his spots. I saw him pitch in Arizona and it was the same thing first inning was mostly 93mph swifties were very hittable, then he started landing breaking balls in the zone and changing speeds and he actually pitcherd quite well.
  7. He’s not going 100% effort for 25 pitches like you would out of the pen; he’s focusing on his endurance to throw 90-100 pitches
  8. That’s why teams don’t bunt anymore. Had Turang pushed it to the first base side it’s likely bases Loaded with nobody out. Instead he makes a mistake and bunts it up third base side they likely get nothing from two on and nobody out
  9. Man, Wiemer went from a promising rookie to a guy who’s probably 37 or 38th on the 40 man roster. Changed his swing, lack of PT and a cold start.
  10. Imagine that; finding some teenagers with superstar potential and being able to sign them for pennies on the dollar to what players via the amateur draft; it’s funny it took teams as long as it did to extensively scout and have training academies in the islands. Before 2018 the Brewers physical presence in the D.R. consisted of two baseball fields behind a barn on land owned by Solomon Torres
  11. Johnny Wholestaff making an appearance before the day off tomorrow.
  12. Look at the terms Bauer conjures: Rape, indictment, lying. It will never happen, how could you run a kid out to the mound before the game on Sundays when he’s throwing?
  13. It’s Peralta and Rea then a bunch of glorified long men masquerading as starters
  14. They still market MLB as a family friendly event; Rick Schlesinger would have a hard time selling a guy who chokes women out in his bedroom as family friendly entertainment.
  15. Probably toast by May if they don’t pounce on the other team for a half dozen.
  16. Outcome determined before the Brewers even bat.
  17. That opt out might loom large this winter. What do you do with a guy who can’t run and already isn’t their first choice defensively for the field.
  18. Six singles, a walk and a catcher’s interfere.
  19. Corbin Who? Tyrone Who? way to go Rea and Perkins
  20. It’s the way they have done things for years; position players called up to the major league roster are almost always in the lineup the very next game.
  21. Yes, I can read. Was meant as more of a criticism because “he’ll be playing in 4-6 weeks” is just pulling numbers out one’s butt. Taylor Ward was hit and broke bones in his face on 7/29 last year and didn’t play again. Tanner Houck was struck in the face on 6/16 last year, fracturing bones in his face and came back on August 22nd. Encarnacion never played again. It depends on the bones fractured, the severity of the fractures ie. if plates and screws are needed to fix the fractures and the player’s pain tolerance. Regardless it’s an another lengthy injury to a Brewers top prospect.
  22. Juan Encarnacion says what’s up.
  23. Was the other shoulder in ‘21
  24. Chourio graduating from the prospect list and Quero suffering a second major shoulder injury, watch that Brewer farm system rating plummet.
