  1. Williams was one of a few moves the Cubs made this offseason that I with the Brewers would have made. I've always liked Williams as a pitcher, and I think he was another in a long line of talented starters that were simply wasted playing for that organization. I hope the Brewers' bats prove me wrong tonight.
  2. ummm, yeah, it's the 2nd game of the season...Very unlike you to be so negative. Tough to see the positive in one hit and a bunch of Ks. But yep, long season. This team will hit.
  3. That was a very well pitched game. Hats off to Berrios and Burnes. Brewers offense looked pretty dang terrible though.
  4. His 2 for 5 with an RBI on Thursday not good enough? Tough crowd. That's what I was just thinking. Narvaez was pretty dang good Thursday. And literally everybody has been not good today with the bat.
  5. RRB, is this a streaming over an app service or do you have to get a box and coaxial cable? OH, and do you get any premiums for that $85? HBO, etc? Just downloaded the App on my Roku. Works just like YouTube TV, Hulu Live TV or Sling. Easy peasy. Quality was pretty good too. Yeah, I think it comes with HBO Max, but I haven't really looked into that yet. Haven't decided yet if I'm going to hang onto it, though. $85/month is a tough pill to swallow for basically one channel I'm going to watch.
  6. How is that optimistic? Simple. There's a direct correlation between outrage about the lineup, pitching changes, etc. and the Brewers winning games. LOL ... touché
  7. All those great arms in the pen, but Yardley is going to get 70+ appearances. He's the new Claudio. Yardley is going to find himself DFA'd real fast IMHO. He was terrible this spring and is not good enough to be bad for a long period of time without being shown the door. His good season last year is going to give him a longer leash than a guy with his underwhelming stuff deserves.

  9. He's going to put up a similar line to Eric Thames a few years ago. And that is going to make me sad. It's so much easier to justify his high K numbers and inconsistency as a 2B than as a 1B.
  10. Keston Hiura whiffs on high fastballs. Freddy Peralta is maddeningly inconsistent finding the strike zone. Water is wet. I love it! Welcome to another great season of Brewers baseball!
  11. Come on Lane. Shaw couldn't run when he was in his mid 20s. He basically runs like a catcher now.
  12. Another season of him swinging at neck-high fastballs! Yay! This kid was billed as a natural contact hitter when drafted and coming up. I'm not sure when he decided he was a exclusive power guy, but boo!
  13. I took the plunge and signed up for AT&T TV this morning. $85 a month is quite pricey, but when it's the only real choice, you gotta do it. The platform is still clunky, and actually signing up for the service was a whole separate adventure, but I appear to be good to go now. The service does not offer a typical free trial, but if you cancel service within 14 days of sign-up, they refund your credit card the full $85 ... or at least that's what I was told. I'll give it a shot because there is little risk if it doesn't work.
  14. But do you live in Wisconsin? If so, you'll be blacked out like the rest of us. Ah, that's right. It only applies to the away games. I'll have to figure something else out. I vowed never to go back to Spectrum again and I'm keeping my word on that. Listening to Uecker isn't a bad option either. Pretty sure you can't get away games either. It's about local broadcasting rights, not getting fans in seats.
  15. Its 12 degrees this morning here in northern Wisconsin, but I don't care, because the Brewers play a game today. One that actually counts! I'll never again take early spring baseball for granted.
  16. Thanks for the heads up. Glad it turned out to be the false positive. That would have put a big damper on opening day.
  17. How is that optimistic?
