  6. Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant have also been terrible, while David freaking Bote looks like Carl Yastrzemski. 2020 is a weird, sucky year. I am pretty sure you mean Ian Happ not David Bote. Bote has a .732 OPS. Yeah, you're right. I get those two scrubs confused.

  9. Blaming the hitting coach for Yelich and Hiura hitting like crap and swinging through middle-middle fastballs is a scapegoat. If they fire Haines, whatever, I'll be fine with it. But this isn't his fault. The accountability needs to fall on the guys making millions.

  12. Mark Mathias at least will give you a solid at-bat. The problem is he's a right-handed batter, and Counsell obviously wants a left-handed hitter on the bench. I suspect that is what is keeping Ryon Healy down right now as well. I expect Billy McKinney to be up in the next couple days, likely taking Peterson's LHH bench spot. Remains to be seen if he is an actual upgrade, but he does have a much better minor league track record.

  15. Because Peterson is at least solid defensively. Santana has been atrocious across the board this season.

  18. The Lions top three CBs – Jeffrey Okudah, Desmond Trufant and Justin Coleman, are all nursing hamstring injuries and appear as of right now on the wrong side of available this weekend. Coleman was actually placed on IR this morning. Of course Darius Slay is an Eagle now. If you own Davante Adams in a fantasy football league, you're likely going to want to fire him up again. Along with MVS and Lazard as well. I expect the Lions to be able to move the ball on the Packers, so this one might end up looking like a shootout as well.

  21. I think I can say with 100% certainty that this will not happen. Cause for concern? Yep. But they aren't going to trade the face of the franchise based on 150 at bats played in front of no fans during a pandemic. I think we need to tone down the hyperbole here a bit.

  24. Wagner looked solid at RT as well. I really liked how Jenkins looked out there, too. They have a decision to make with Jenkins I think. He has the capability of being a great, All-Pro-type guard, but I also think he has the ability to be a very good right tackle. Is a great guard more valuable than a good tackle? If the goal is to have your most talented 5 out there, that could very well mean Jenkins plays tackle, while Turner, Patrick and Runyan hold down the guard spots.
