  1. Yeah, do that, and you are guaranteeing the Cards get swept. Because baseball. No way, you play to win tomorrow. Even if they do, you still don't win the division, you still have to go into St Louis and win. And if you can't do that you're completely on fumes for Tuesday. That's a lot to put into several unlikely things happening. If it was tied going into tomorrow, of course, go all in. But no, not now. You've already punched your ticket, don't burn it. Cardinals are on fumes too.
  2. The “at least I didn’t go blind or contract leprosy today” post I'm not happy, but the "that's it, season's over" posts are pretty lame.
  3. I get it. Tonight sucks. But the reactions are making this look like a post-Packer game call-in show. The season is not over. This team has already punched its ticket. Play well tomorrow, and who knows what might happen in the Cards/Cubs game.
  4. I didn't want to say it but I didn't feel good abut him either. I just can't believe the nut punch this game was...well heading to Washington..what a choke job. This was my concern, the Cubs would give them the help they needed and the Crew couldn't capitalize. Just imagine, the Brewers could be 1 game up heading into tomorrow and in the drivers seat had they taken care of business. Well, you checked out on this team weeks ago, so why would you care?
  5. Oh man. This is not how I saw this weekend going. It is an absolute miracle that they still stand a chance for the division.
  6. So ... how many of you figured that we'd be scoreboard watching the Cubs/Cards series for playoff implications at the beginning of this season. I did, but I didn't figure that the Cubs would be out of it. I thought it would be down to all three teams at the end.
  7. Grisham with another called 3rd strike. I dig the discerning eye at the plate, but this ain't the PCL anymore, buddy. These guys can paint. Gotta swing it.
