  1. Sheesh. Peralta gave up 3 runs against the Pirates last time he pitched. Zero earned. Error. Gave up 2 hits, nothing really hit hard. I’ll stand behind my words again, Peralta has been better than fantastic all month. I was in Cincinnati for yesterday’s game and saw peralta throwing some long toss before the game in the outfield, so I don’t think he’s hurt. Runs are runs, and hits are hits. He didn't have it against the Pairates. He also gave up two earned against the Marlins. He has been better this month, but it hasn't been fantastic. I love his stuff, and love his future potential wherever they decide to use him, but he is inconsistent.
  2. Sheesh. Peralta gave up 3 runs against the Pirates last time he pitched. Granted two were inherited runners that Hader let in, but still, far from a dominant outing.
  3. Gotta like the fight in the offense. Come back and grab one tomorrow and on Sunday, and see where things lie. Cardinals look pretty listless.
  4. Turning to professional sports as an escape from real world drama and frustration seems like an odd choice. Perhaps take up knitting or yoga.
  5. Dude has been pretty good after being a total after thought before the season. Way too early to tell. Yeah, making that type of call on a 22-year-old with 144 major league ABs to his name is pretty much the ultimate overreaction.
  6. You really, really need to calm the heck down. You need to pipe up! This is the division! There's only two days left! Hype up! Settling for silly mediocrity and poor mismanagement is not my idea of owning pennant fever! Getting pissed on a fan message board ain't gonna accomplish a hill of beans either.
  7. Cardinals going to the "Jake Faria" portion of their pen now.
  8. Iowa Cubs lineup getting the job done at Busch tonight.
  9. You disappear for all of their 18 of 20 stretch and return to post stuff like this? Yikes. Some people just live to watch the world burn.
  10. This team has won 18 of 20. Give me a break. No, CC needs to give us a break! This was inexcusable managing! Don't rest on laurels! Be intelligent! This is not a spring training game! Good grief! Black was an iffy move, but they have been using him in higher leverage spots lately. Claudio and Jackson, who have been regulars in the relief corps, didn't do their jobs. They can't pitch the same 3 guys they trust every night.
  11. Ray Black and Jay Jackson need to live at the Arizona pitching lab this offseason.
  12. Facts. After reading this post, case closed. For whatever reason, Yelich kept this team from reaching its full potential, especially the bullpen. I just ... uh ... ummm ..... If you are being sarcastic, I understand. If you are being serious .... yeah, I still understand.
