  1. Harrison broke out in 2017. He's a multi-tool prospect. It takes these ranking services a while to catch up. The fact is the prospect shine dulled a bit on Grisham over the last few years. He has obviously rebuilt it, but I think he is probably up on the ML team before he makes any sort of Top 100 list.
  2. Probably. Can't be stretched out for much more than that. He had a start not that long ago around 90 didn’t he? Maybe longer than I thought... Last start was July 15. He's made 3 relief appearances since then.
  3. Houser is showing well tonight. I love that arm in the pen, but he's definitely got a future as a middle-of-the-rotation type. Really nice mix of pitches, and can run it up there at 97 when he needs to. Houser right now is what I think everyone was hoping Burnes would be. Perhaps he still will be.
  4. For those still bemoaning Hiura being sent down earlier this season ... perhaps he is making the Brewers' case. That said, he actually hasn't been too bad at 2B, but this inning? Yikes.
  5. I get the feeling you're going to be disappointed after this deadline passes. Me too, incredibly disappointed...it sucks I think sometimes we need to realize that the grass is, in fact, not always greener ... The moves that the Mets and Red have made may end of working out, but in my opinion, both are pretty weird.
  6. I totally understand the excitement of the trade deadline ... its exciting to be a part of it when you have a good team. But living and dying on the Brewers making a deal for a big "name" guy can turn toxic quick. I have little doubt that the Brewers will likely make several moves tomorrow. And I have little doubt that there are posers here that will say it isn't enough.
  7. I'm with you on this, I don't want to trade him, I want to see him with the Brewers for the next 6 years. Heck, it's getting to the point where I want to see him on the ML roster tomorrow.
  8. ... waiting for the MLB Pipeline gospel people to come challenge that. I swear, it's almost like there's a few posters here that are taking joy out of the fact that Baseball America has the Brewers' system ranked last. Like they are seeing "See, I told you the system sucks! fIrE sTeArNs!
  9. Wow, Amir Garrett is going to get all of the suspension games. He tried to take on the whole Pirates dugout!
  10. Puig getting in a fight immediately after being traded is the most Yasiel Puig thing ever.
  11. I agree that another starter and at least one pen arm would be ideal. It wouldn't surprise me to see the Brewers grab a reliever like Kela or Colome, and perhaps a rental starter tomorrow.
  12. I'm glad that Bauer went to the Reds and not an actual NL playoff contender. I don't think the Reds are close even with the rotation addition.
  13. Nice recovery from Houser after hitting the leadoff guy. Hoping that he is stretched out enough to give them 5 innings tonight.
  14. Was just sharing what I was hearing/ learning... Didn't know if it would directly involve or impact the Brewers until earlier tonight. Is that a hint?? Directly in that the Reds and the Brewers play in the same division.
  15. Yeah, that is improving their OF in a major way. Big loss to their rotation, but that lineup is scary now.
  16. Puig apparently going back as part of Cleveland's haul. I guess the Indians do realize that they need to actually have players in the OF.
  17. But I thought DJ had the magic elixir to turn average pitching into awesome pitching? They shouldn't need to trade for guys like Bauer. So instead of finishing last in the division, they might be better than the Pirates?
  18. You do realize that trades can still happen till 3 p.m. tomorrow, right? Yes, of course I know that, but i was hoping they would already be close on something now, which would then lead them to sit/pull Grisham/Dubon. The fact that they haven't means they likely aren't close on anything, and if they are going to do something Big(ish), they aren't going to have a lot of time to get it done. You'd think the framework would be in place by now if that was the case. Even if they were gaining momentum in something you'd think as a precaution they would pull either one of them or both. Again, the fact that they haven't, doesn't bode well. It's the same reason why Syndergaard made his start tonight, as a Mets exec said you can take that to mean, nothing is close to being done. Having Grisham and Dubon in the Brewers system after tomorrow is certainly a decent consolation prize. I am skeptical on Grisham, but the more he hits, the tougher it is not to take this breakout seriously.
  19. Strangely, both of these are very valid viewpoints. Yep, exactly. Neither one of these outcomes would upset me. It is intriguing to potentially sell Grisham at an ultimate high ... but at the same time, what if this breakout is for real?
  20. It makes me kind of happy that some of these vaunted Braves pitching prospects are being exposed as overrated. Allard was supposed to be the next big thing, but he's stalled out. In fact, most of those young pitchers have stalled out, which is why the Braves are looking under every rock for both starting and relieving improvement.

  22. Sling user here. I just started my free trial of YouTubeTV. Figure I can cycle through all of them on free previews (Hulu Live TV, Sony Vue, Fubo and Directv Now) and see if Sling figures their crap out.
  23. Something tells me your stay here isn't going to be long.
  24. @Joelsherman1 #Cubs get David Phelps and cash considerations from #Bluejays for Thomas Hatch. @ShiDavidi 1st Hot stove season!
