  1. That's probably going to happen I'd venture to guess if neither one starts hitting more consistently, we're going to see either Dubon or Hiura up and playing 2B, and Moose/Shaw manning 3B/1B.
  2. Nice to see Cole Madison reported for the off-season program today. I really liked him coming out last year, and hopefully he's been able to work through his issues.
  3. Figured this would be the move last night. Not as exciting as it could be, but he's a fresh arm with plenty of major league experience. Was once the White Sox closer.
  4. You're right. We should probably stop talking about it because its just rehashing the same arguments/ideas over and over.
  5. Even if Kimbrel were signed, he wouldn't be ready till likely May sometime, if healthy. Yeah, that would help, but they have a pretty rough stretch of games left this month.
  6. Didn't get get rocked in SA already this year? Yeah ... but at this point, there aren't a ton of decent options, unless they want to add a guy to the 40-man roster. The only pitchers in the minors on the 40-man are Diplan, Donnie Hart, Adrian Houser, Petricka, Trey Supak, and Aaron Wilkerson. Houser just started on Thursday, Supak last night. I suppose Wilkerson could be an option, but I would guess it'll be Petricka or Hart. My hope is that they put Knebel on the 60-day DL and purchase Sanchez's contract.
  7. Well, if the Brewers are going to sign this idiot, now would be the time to be looking at it. I think he continues to rot, though.
  8. While being the sacrificial lamb sucks, he hasn't done anything to keep his spot.
  9. The sad thing is ... perhaps the three best arms at San Antonio - Zach Brown, Adrian Houser and Bubba Derby - have started the last three games and are unavailable. That means we're looking at guys like Petricka, Fields, Donnie Hart or Jay Jackson. Miguel Sanchez would be fun, though.
  10. Geez, to add insult to injury, it seems like the horrible Ho-Chunk "Let's Go Back" Hanson-like music commercial has been played 20 times tonight.
  11. This is the absolute epitome of "small sample size" alert. I wish they would have gotten more for Santana, but they seemed pretty intent on trading him for more than a year. It was pretty obvious I think that he didn't fit what Stearns was trying to build.
  12. Brewers still got 4 innings to chip away. This is an offense that can score runs in bunches too.
  13. Looking at the rotation at the beginning of the year, Burnes was the one I least expected to be removed due to performance. I'm sure they will give him several more opportunities, but it hasn't been ideal so far. He looked electric against the Cardinals other than the HRs, and there have certainly been flashes tonight. The stuff is certainly there.
  14. Corbin's start is looking kinda gross now. I sure hope he figures it out. That stuff is just too good to let hitters get ahold of meatballs like this.
  15. Playing his way to the Domingo Santana version of the witness protection program.
  16. That's a heck of a lot better than 84. Great first step in his first appearance on a rehab assignment. This is basically his spring training, so it makes pretty perfect sense.
  17. Derby pitched well last night for San Antonio. I always thought he profiled better as a multi-inning reliever.
  18. We used to have a Pessimism Thread here. It was pointless though. This team has never given us anything to be pessimistic about
  19. 3 of their 9 inning games have already been over 3 1/2 hours. Shorter games indeed..... Must be all the LOOGYS
  20. Well, if the Cubs proved anything tonight, its that if they can get their pitching figured out at all, they have the offense to be extremely dangerous.
