  1. Kind of crazy that they will fly back to Washington, D.C. for one game on Thursday, then back home for a weekend series. Not many other options at this point I guess. I feel like this is karma for the phantom rain out last year.
  2. Cubs/Nats cancelled. Cubs gotta fly to DC Thursday to make up the game. Can't say I feel real sorry for them.
  3. If Knebel is coming in here, I expect Hader in the 9th. Edit: Or not. I forgot that although he got 4 outs yesterday, it was only 17 pitches.
  4. They gave up two guys that were obviously not high on their future asset list. Moose has been good. Solid defense and clutch hitting. Having him in the lineup has taken the 2B black hole away. I've been happy with it.
  5. Woo hoo! Almost feels like we should have a separate IGT for all non-brewer games as we move into the stretch run. Thoughts on that? For sure. I wish MLB Network was showing Cubs/Nats instead of this boring Yankees/mariners game.
  6. It's nice seeing Hamels finally get knocked around a little bit. Having these weather issues has to be rough on the Cubs right now. Started the game, only to have a rainout last night, followed by playing a doubleheader with several weather delays today, and the chance for more bad weather tomorrow. The Brewers will likely get a pretty weary team when they get to Chicago on Monday. The key is taking advantage.
  7. I kinda have a little bit of a man crush on Christian Yelich.
  8. It was a great night in the IGT nonetheless. And I know that his post is directed at me, and I don't care. It's really nice that my faith in the team throughout the bumps is being rewarded right now. I haven't been right often when it comes to this team this year, so that's my win
  9. It was a great night in the IGT nonetheless. Fun and refreshing to read through.
  10. We've got four more years of this guy, in his prime, for less-than-arbtiration salaries! David Stearns is the real Most Valuable Playa Yeah, that would qualify as a good trade. The Brewers gave up some great talent, so it isn't like the Marlins got hosed, either. That's the way trades should be. Talent for talent.
  11. I've been wrong a ton this season ... most consistently with having no belief in Wade Miley. It is awesome to be glad to be wrong. This team is peaking at the time a playoff team should be peaking, and it's really cool to see.
  12. Yelich has most definitely played himself into the MVP conversation. If the team stays hot, I imagine he'll be amongst the leaders.
  13. 19 games over for the first time all season. I thought they were swooning in the 2nd half, though? I'm growing more and more confident in this team each day. My confidence level was already pretty high to begin with.
  14. I highly doubt Hiura sees any meaningful MLB action next year before September.
  15. I'm with you on this Brew4U. I understand the disappointment that he wasn't in the lineup in a big game, but the fans calling his character and commitment into question are absolutely ridiculous. I think it goes beyond "I'm wound up because they are a playoff contender" too. I get the feeling that this team just has a lot of fans that are just looking for things to harp on, so that if something bad does happen, they can turn out to be right. Unfortunately, while it wasn't as bad as Brewers Twitter, the IGT here for that game wasn't devoid of that sort of sentiment either.
  16. Gio is going tomorrow against Stratton. Davies is lined up to face MadBum. I get your point, though.
  17. I would love to see the Dodgers not make it simply to see the Machado and Dozier trades backfire on them. That is probably unfair, but whatever.
  18. Back to 18 over. Let's get to that elusive 19-over threshold tomorrow!
