Settle down. The attainable goal should be to win the division every year. That should be defined as success. As to playoffs: The team cannot win two or three series against teams with better talent/higher payroll. Playoff results are not *fully* random. This year the division was mediocre, but usually there is a team or two presenting a challenge to the Brewers. That will be the case next year and thereafter.

Next will be Chris Hook to the Cubs. Henderson moves up, Miley comes in. Who is next after Arnold moves on?

Yes, Springer’s homer won it, and going again to Guerra was tempting fate. But won’t someone mention the constant inability to deliver a clutch hit. Worst RISP average in the league. And the futility of *two* pitchers as pinch runners for Freitas? In September. This team is very far from playoff quality. Bad roster, bad use of payroll budget. Nothing of note on the farm. It will be years before getting close to WS again. Jeffress blowing two games against Dodgers threw that away.

How about a new analyst next year? Last original comment came about five years ago. Only gets enthused when talking about the fantasy camp. I liked Plesac’s games.

The 19 pennant was lost in the two weeks since Hiura went down, playing against the weakest teams. They will not win 13 in a row at the end of the year to cover this up. The Super Two is irrelevant when a team’s window is as short as this one, and the minor league talent has slipped so far down.

Yes there were managerial errors, but for the week it was a lack of mental toughness by the players. Can't say fatigue if you use 35 players over the week.
