  1. Does anybody on here ever use shuttles from bars/restaurants in the Milwaukee area to get to & from Miller Park? Any suggestions on any of them that are usually quick and easy outs when leaving Miller Park? I usually just park and tailgate, but time won't allow tailgating on Thursday and Friday so was curious if taking a shuttle would be better. I'm coming from north of Milwaukee.
  2. Could be worse, but thank God we dodged the Friday noon game! Should be able to make these work!
  3. Guerra looked good against the Tigers, don't get me wrong, but I don't think that one game gets him on the playoff roster. The guy barely pitched when they moved to him the pen, and he really only pitched when they were desperate or in blowouts. He pitched 6 innings as a reliever in the last month, there's not a ton to draw there and deem him a dominant bullpen arm. Personally, I would go with Davies or Anderson over Guerra. I think you're going to want an extra rotation arm in case one of the guys has an awful start where you need to bring someone in right away in the 1st or 2nd inning (remember Marcum) and not kill your bullpen for the rest of the series. I think certain decisions will come down to whether the Brewers are facing the Cubs or Rockies. With the Rockies big RH bats, I'm not sure you want 2 of your starters to be lefties (Miley and Gio). It might also make you want to find a spot for guys like Peralta and Williams. On the other hand, if you play the Cubs you probably want more lefties for Murphy, Rizzo, Schwarber and to turn around Zobrist & Happ.
  4. My 25 man would be: Pitchers (11): Chacin, Miley, Gio, Davies, JJ, Hader, Knebel, Soria, Burnes, Woodruff, Cedeno Position Players (14): Pina, Kratz, Aguilar, Shaw, Schoop, Perez, Arica, Moose, Braun, Yelich, Cain, Granderson, Santana, Broxton Feel bad for Chase and Thames, but it's a tough biz. Thames just brings nothing at this point. He's at best the 3rd PH option after Santana and Granderson. Woodruff and Santana both played themselves onto the roster in September.
  5. Outstanding outing by Chacin. Knew Braun was going be key hitting behind Yelich today, and he has failed miserably so far. Someone is going to need to come up with a big hit other than Yelich.
  6. I think it comes down to Braun, Aguilar, and Schoop. Maddon will be very careful pitching to Yeli, so chances are Braun and Aguilar will have chances with at least one guy on. They need to make the Cubs pay when they pitch around Yelich. Also, really hoping this is Schoop's moment and he goes off today.
  7. I would be much more comfortable with Chase pitching extended innings today over Peralta. Peralta has pretty drastic LH/RH splits and the Cubs have enough lefty bats that chances are he wouldn't face 2 RH bats in a row anyways. Cubs are not a good matchup for Peralta at all, IMO. I would probably just roll with Chase on a very short leash. Could very well turn into a bullpen game right away if Chase isn't sharp. I guess you could start Jennings, but I'm not that confident he could get Murphy and Zobrist out.
  8. Well hopefully you get a solid start from Gio, and then a lot will depend on how the Cubs game is going. If the Cubs are winning, I think you try your best to win without burning Knebel, Hader, and JJ. Use Woodruff, Barnes, Williams, Cedeno, Jennings, etc. If Cubs are trailing you go for the kill and use some of your top arms. Gio will still be on a short leash with Chase and Peralta available.
  9. Cubs are just going to sweep and go on a tear now, aren't they? Ugh, I hate them.
  10. Rock just casually cracking a beer in the clubhouse by himself is the moment of the night. LOL!
  11. Honestly, if they don't win the division outright after Sunday, I would almost rather they just play the 1 game WC. It would be EXTREMELY tough to play the WC game right away the next day, if you lose the division title game on Monday. As intense as our games with the Cubs have been, it would be tough to move on right away for a do or die game. Not to mention the possibility of burning out some bullpen arms. The other WC team will have an advantage over whoever loses a division title game.
  12. I'd have gone with Woodruff another inning, even with Moose at 2nd base. Would of thought about using Jennings to start this inning too, to get through Carpenter.
  13. Another head scratcher here, IMO... I get he wants Arcia for defense purposes, but just bring him in for Schoop or Perez or whoever. If you're gonna lift Woodruff for a pinch hitter, at least bring in someone who might get a hit like Shaw or Granderson..
  14. Wow, Woodruff is lights out. I bring him back out for the 7th, who cares if he has to face Carpenter.
  15. Williams wasn't bad there.. Martinez found a hole on a pitch outside the zone and Ozuna barely made contact and it turned into a hit. Huge to get out of that with limited damage!
  16. And let's be honest the clutch hit last night was a pretty weak blooper that turned into a triple because Martinez sucks.
  17. Thames over Granderson, Shaw and Santana there is a head scratcher. Missed a chance to really bust it open.
  18. So, it will be PH and then Carpenter for the Cards in the bottom of the inning.. Cedeno or Jennings probably?
  19. Theres a couple other things it could be that I don't even want to think about let alone say. I have thought the same..
