  1. So what's the move? Maybe William's for 8 & 9 and then Cedeno or Jennings for the top of the order??
  2. Let Chase start the 5th but have Cedeno or Jennings getting ready for the lefties and Zobrist.
  3. Yea, this is why I really struggle trusting defensive stats. The metrics say Granderson is even worse than Thames in the OF, but there is zero chance Thames makes either of those catches by Granderson.
  4. Hendricks has been good against the Brewers, but those numbers don't reflect having Moose and Granderson in the lineup for the Crew. Hoping Thames gets the start at 1st and Granderson in the OF.
  5. I already have a sick feeling in my stomach about this.. Especially with Zobrist leading off, who's like impossible to get out.
  6. The Brewers don't really have the farm system to trade for a top MLB arm like Syndergaard. Maybe you could build a deal around Burnes, Hiura, and Ray but it would take all of them and would really drain the system after all of the trades in the past year. They will be better off to just start with a rotation of Nelson, Chacin, Anderson, Davies and Burnes. Would maybe take a couple fliers on lower end FA's like they did with Miley this year. What they do with the position players will all depend on what happens with Moose and Schoop. I'm guessing Moose walks and Schoop's option gets picked up. There are some interesting names on the 2nd base FA market, though, if you could get someone on a one year deal. I think Thames needs to be dealt. I would trade him for any low level lottery ticket you can get or maybe even a RP. There's just no need for him and the salary savings alone would be worth it. Honestly, I would love to see them find a way to bring Moose back assuming they can trade Thames. Then you could use Shaw some at 1st base and maybe even one of Shaw/Moose could play some LF. I love having both of Moose and Shaw in the lineup against righties. The free agent I would target is Yasmani Grandal. A Grandal/Pina combo at Catcher would be nice.
  7. Moose is hitting .167 against Quintana lifetime.(4 for 24) I don't think that's pretty good at all. Fake news. Moustakas is 12-43 against Q for his career, with an .899 OPS.
  8. I think Moose gets a start tonight. He's faced Quintana a lot in his career and has been pretty good against him. I'm guessing Arcia sits and CC goes with Perez and Schoop in the middle infield. Braun got a hit yesterday, but otherwise he's been missing a lot of hittable pitches lately. I wouldn't be opposed to giving Santana or Broxton a start. I'm sure it will be Braun, though, due to his HRs off Quintana the last time they faced off.
  9. You can't underestimate how many Wisconsinites are Cub fans, too. There are a lot. Miller Park tickets are easier to score than Wrigley tickets as well. Yep. This state is loaded with Cubs fans. Everyone talks about all these fans coming from Chicago, but I'd bet at least half of the Cub fans in attendanc live in WI.
  10. The most Brewers/Cubs start ever.. Lucky hit and then embarassing errors on defense for the Brewers.
  11. Huge series win.. These last 2 days felt like playoff games and it was the Reds. I don't know how I'm going to survive the next month..
  12. Braun/Fielder I don't know. The value Cain and Yelich have defensively and baserunning might make them better overall.
  13. Gennett is set to lead off.. I honestly think I would try Hader again. Struggled last night but I don't think he threw that many pitches. At least have him face Scooter and then maybe Barnes.. Tough situation.
  14. Are Lorenzo Cain and Yelich having the best duo seasons in Brewer's history?? I'm serious... Wow!
  15. I gotta say, I wouldn't mind seeing them just deal Thames for whatever this offseason. He can be a frustrating player and there's no real space for him now.
  16. I think they need to free up another 40 man spot so they can add QTC and get him up when rosters expand. Sure would be nice to have another lefty in the pen to go with Jennings. Obviously, Hader is a LHP but he isn't used as a specialist. My recommendation would be DFA'ing Albers or Orf.
  17. Load up on the righties today? Both Schoop and Perez are seeing the ball well right now. As great as Moose has been, I think Yelich is the only lefty in the lineup today.
  18. Can this be the game that sets them off on a tear?? Man, I hope so. Option Peralta tonight just to get another arm for tomorrow? No guarantee he'll make his next scheduled start anyways.. Or just designate Albers? Going to have to bring up another arm you'd think.
