    MLB should pursue this matter in Federal Court against the courier company for negligence, the Braun ship has sailed my friend. Das isn't a putz, MLB would have a long road to hoe it would seem to get this thing overturned. Also wouldn't Federal Court details be more public????

    MLB is doing this to protect the integrity of future tests, I really don't care if fans in St. Louis, Chicago or whereever think he's guilty. Being a season ticket holder I want Braun on the field. I like the Brewers more than the Packers and I would love to see another season like last year. There is always going to be naysayers about Braun, who cares, let Braun and others worry about that. Meanwhile #8 will be in left field on opening day!!!!

    Braun will absolutely not be the one breaking this news. This would mean he's being suspended then. This is a irresponsible post unless you know something, I would hope you would explain.

    It would be kind of cool if Braun's camp didn't say anything and he just showed up to camp like nothing happened, supposedly MLB will not announce anything if he's not guilty. (I think that's right).

    Thanks Polish. A couple of tweaks, I think Braun and Weeks have some type of bonus paid this year which would push Braun to $8.5 (6 million base). Weeks makes $10 million base and receives a $2.5 million bonus in July. I got this info off of Cots Contracts, what a site!! That adds $3 million to your numbers putting us at $103 million, last year opening day payroll was $83 million. You have to think we're very close to be maxed out. I would love to get Derrick Lee though. GO BREW

    I have a hard time believing if we lose K-Rod and Wolf and gain Fielder that we would be worse. I think Wolf did it with mirrors last year and the Brew could have Veras pitch the 8th or find an 8th inning guy. Relievers/closers prices have come way down. IMO if we somehow get Fielder back and don't have to drop 3 or 4 guys I think we would be the favorite in the NL. With that being said i dont think Fielder would come back on a 1 year deal.

    The contract now becomes guaranteed, there was incentive on both sides to get this done, had the Brewer cut him in March there is ZERO chance he could have approached this money, hell Madson got $8.5, who would you rather have?     Wolf doesn't look pretty but man he pitched well last year, problem is when 's he's bad he's bad. Comparing him to Suppan is bordering on +$$@+%!%, Suppan was awful, Wolf is far from awful. Thanks Mike

    If Prince doesn't get the moster deal wouldn't he better off signing a 1 year $20 million dollar deal with us and then retesting the market next year as opposed to signing a 3 or 4 year deal somewhere else???
