  1. I'm not so sure Gamel's value is as high as everyone thinks. He came up, went back down and really struggled. I'm sure other teams know that.
  2. If we think Lawrie is that good he probably is our best chance to bring a top starter here. Trades hurt guys. I'll worry about 2b later, we need to fix the starting pitching and fix it now.
  3. Frontline pitching is going to be expensive, br prepared to give up something; many offers on here are pretty laughable.
  4. I have the 2007 Big Head Bobbles of Hardy, Hart, Fielder & Braun. (only 360 of each were made) $20 per bobble. PM me if you have an interest in the mini bobbles from 1982 (blue version). I would like to sell as entire set. I have 2 extra of Charlie Moore (blue version). Thanks for looking Mike
  5. If we're so worried about 3b, go to Boston and supposedly they are begging to give up Lowell and they probably would eat salary. You could in theory put Weeks into a Johnson deal & McGehee could play 2b or offer arby to Lopez, which I think he would take. If the Brew can trade for a pitcher who is cheap, they could possibly 2 FA's (letting Bush go).
  6. Trade for Josh Johnson and sign Randy Wolf or Marquis or D. Davis and we very well could be back in business!!
  7. Bay for $17 million a year??? Have we lost our minds, that money is going into the rotation, end of the Bay dream, there is zero chance of Bay coming here and I mean zero (based on his contract demands).
  8. 8/15 left, asking half price 2 for 1. $45 for the pair.
  9. Seems crazy to spend 2.5 million if your the D-Backs to get a sandwich pick. They could pay that to above slot players in next years draft. No biggie either way from the Brewer standpoint IMO.
  10. Dye's mutual option for 2010 would have to probably be exercised, that being said he's pretty expensive and oft injured.
  11. Hello I can't make it because we have twins on the way. I have the following tickets available for face OBO 8/13 SD day game 4 tickets in SECT 424 Row 12 ($14 ea.) 8/14 HOU 2 tickets SECT 213 ROW 4 ($45 ea.) 8/15 HOU 2 tickets SECT 213 ROW 4 ($45 ea.) Thanks, Mike
  12. How much is the Sheets Sexson & Aaaron 2002 bobblehead set worth? Thanks, Mike
  13. Unless Weathers retires he would be a valuable addition to the bullpen, especially if they don't spend any money on the closer. Villanueva, Weathers & Coffey could possibly be the bullpen, and that frees up more money to spend on this rotation, Hardy & Hart, Cameron & Kendall all go and re-tool this team Doug!!!
  14. The same league rule still applies, all American League teams will have a shot at Rios before the Nats. I'm on record that Ricciardi blew the Halladay situation and thus he will be fired this off-season, now if he doesn't just let Rios go, he's completely out of his mind. Rios has a no trade clause so it will be difficult to work out a trade. This will get The Jays out from a HUGE contract.
  15. Does service time count for a Sept call up? Also, Hall should be DFA'd, you can't play 1 man short all year.
  16. Cameron's money needs to go to pitching. I like Cam but we need the dough to go elsewhere!!!
  17. As usual we're fooling ourselves, only a Gamel or Escobar package brings us a #1 or #2, the only guys on the major league roster brings us top pitching would be Braun or Fielder.
  18. No chance in hell does Hart double his salary. end you're way high by I'm guessing $2 million dollars over the next 2 years. Hart is very average at best
  19. No gentlemens agreement, there probably won't be alot of teams wanting to get stuck with the contracts, the team putting guys on waivers can just say to the claiming team, he's yours. Would you want Vernon Wells contract??? That being said I would absolutely love for the Brewers to get Crawford.
  20. I have 4 tickets in SECT 424 for tomorrows day game. Asking $10 OBO
  21. Weeks is on the (DL) he can't be traded, this has come up quite a bit on these threads, thats why Peavey hasn't been moved.
  22. Rotoworld has a blurb quoting a major league executive that he's 1000% sure Lee will be dealt because of cash considerations. Why are messing around w/ washburn, LOL
  23. If Escobar was not offered up in the Halladay deal why do we think he goes in a Washburn trade?
  24. From Sportsline News: It appears that Toronto SP Roy Halladay truly is staying in Canada. On Saturday, reports MLB.com, the Phillies balked at a trade package for Halladay that would include starting pitchers Kyle Drabek and J.A. Happ, along with OF prospect Dominic Brown. The Phillies do not want to give up both Happ and Drabek and it appears the Jays want nothing less.
