  1. He would but I'm assuming there will be an inflated trade value on him. I get that most GMs understand how Coors Field affects overall stats and can see that he's a good player outside of it, but I'm assuming the Rockies will be asking for a lot. Just my opinion based off my eye balls. But Trevor Story’s numbers wouldn’t drop that far off having half his games in miller park. He seems to flat our rake vs us there. Not 100% the ball park but I think it’s a bit exagerated how some think players will be horrific away from Coors field. Miller park is very hitter friendly as well. Plus, guy has a .981 career fielding percentage. For as amazing as people think Arcia is, he’s only at .971. Offensive and defensive upgrade. Controlled through 2022 but will get more expensive. Would love seeing him Yelich and Hiura in the middle of our lineup.
  2. I do agree with your thought here. But going into spring training having Hader, Knebel, JJ all lines up to be in the bullpen after dominating 2018. And adding a high upside arm in wahl, hopeful loogey in Claudio. How much more was he supposed to add going into the year? Not to mention still having Williams as potential but inconsistent. On paper going into spring training I would’ve said bullpen was a strength. People pitching in situations not advantageous to their success has hurt, ie guerra, Claudio.
  3. Thames is due $7.5 mil next year with his player option, I’m assuming he will exercise that. Would we rather rid of that contract instead of Aguilars league min? Not discrediting Thames production this year, but for the money could we spend it better elsewhere? Teams would have to want Thames though, which could be a tough sell.
  4. Can you just keep your craziness out of one thread please? Man. Agreed. Can’t have every thread tainted by these cartoonish proposals. Suggestion: take a week off. Refreshes them mind.
  5. Why would it be nothing? What do you think? You think we are going to get a guy that can help us now. I will guarantee you it won’t be. I’d ask for Colin Poche. Hoping to buy low on Colin? Guy has a -0.6 war this year. But has had solid stats in minors.
  6. 100% this. Get what you can for him. Sell him on his 1.000 ops July!
  7. With the only trade deadline for postseason implications being July 31. Would that apply to those injured as well? Or is it based purely on 40 man?
  8. Yikes. That lineup leaves a lot to be desired. Probably will put a 10 spot up today. Kinda makes me nauseous seeing Saladino get a start in left field. How much longer til Dubon is eligible to come up?
  9. Cain has been pretty consistent the last 6 or so years of being around 60 points better in OBP than BA. That is right in line with this year as well. Last year was a career year of sorts for him, having a 32 point better OBP than his next closest year. He hasn’t been as terrible as some say, but not the level we saw so often last year. OPS is down but untimely batting lead off we need him on base. Hopefully the start of the 2nd half is a sign that things are coming along!
  10. It has to be a balance with making these decision. Brew Crew 92: just imagine if you were running the show. Just think of how many players you would have burned through already as you make your way down our minor leagues. You have a new flavor every day. It just doesn’t work that way. You can’t just burn people off the 40-man roster all the time with no consequences. There is a reason that no GM operates this way and it comes down to depth and money. Wait. You can’t run a MLB club like a video game? Having unlimited resources? My mind has been blown.
  11. With his HR tonight, Christian Yelich of the @Brewers now has 60 HR and 33 SB over his last 162 games played. He's the first player in MLB history to have 60+ HR and 30+ SB over any 162-game span. And he plays for the Brewers
  12. Not a standings person. But I do enjoy seeing the cubs and cardinals lose. So that’s always fun to look for.
  13. Cain has shown life since the all star break. Hopefully that’ll Lee going. Always nice to have Arcia protecting Hiura.
  14. Braun is now tied for 17th with most GIDP this year with 11. Team leader is Orlando with 12. MLB lead is 15.
  15. Hopefully this is the last we see of Saladino. Can only take so much. Is Yuni B up to anything these days?
  16. this was good!! “It feels like an entire game since we’ve seen him.”
  17. This makes perfect sense. Smith would be a great fit at the back of the pen. I imagine it's going to take another solid prospect in addition to Dubon, though. It’d be nice to get a true closer and put hader back into that swing role he had. Would they take Bickford back?
