  1. Willy should get 2 walks on his ledger for that AB
  2. That was a pretty tough play with the baserunner in his way.
  3. Switch hitter hitting righty against Burnes because he's so predictable right now... that seems bad.
  4. https://twitter.com/JohnDenton555/status/1658671543340396544?s=20 Cardinals pushing Wainwright to Thursday to get another LHP in there against the Crew. Predicting a #Ruf outing for Liberatore tomorrow!
  5. You can do it with MLB.tv. I watch the games with the Brewers Radio Network audio synced up every night, it rocks!

  7. Another tough night overall, but.... Elvis Peguero sure is a nice add to the pen. He's got some filthy, late-inning stuff and when commanding it well with confidence, he is electric.
  8. I just wanted the Brewers to draft him for the potential future jersey purchase.
  9. Looking forward to seeing Trout and Ohtani in person tonight... although I have attended 4 straight losses.
  10. Impressive start for Carlos! 5 IP (95 pitches), 3 Hits, 1 ER, 3 BB, 9 Ks The changeup was lethal tonight.
  11. Rodriguez has battled his command just a little bit in the early going, but he's been able to put guys away when he needs to. Looking nasty for the most part, especially the changeup. 4 K's through 2 scoreless innings.
  12. That's a great tip, going to have to check that out this weekend!
  13. I mean, is there really anything wrong with that statement? You need pro sports to have an identity? It really sucks for A's fans, but also good on Oakland for not bending over and taking it from the billionaire owners trying to squeeze as much public money as they can out of the city.
  14. He's washed up and seems like he could be a clubhouse cancer. Pass.
  15. Some very rough defense from Salem in the Bottom of the 1st, and the Mudcats are taking advantage. Jace Avina has his first hit of the season, a single up the middle, and Hedbert Perez smoked a double to left-center. Great to see.
  16. .250/.341/.389 with a 98 wRC+ is not "hitting like a pitcher", especially when he's providing the stellar defense he currently is. Basically a league average bat after 2 weeks in the big leagues, that's a solid start.
  17. I didn't say that McIntosh would be making decisions based on the outcome of one NIT game. "The fact that this team didn't show a lick of progress the entire season is enough of a reason to can GG." <- this was my reasoning. In fact, not only did they not show progress, I'd say that they regressed over the course of the season. But if you want did want to claim that there was actually some positive growth this season after a couple of NIT games, then I think in that case it would be fair to base a decision on the outcome of a single, dreadful NIT game. 9+ minute scoring drought, 13 point 2nd Half, no adjustments, just a complete embarrassment but one that we've gotten incredibly used to this season.
  18. The timeout by Gard when we had a 5 on 4 advantage and ~6 seconds left was inexcusable, imo. What a putrid, embarrassing 2nd half. The fact that this team didn't show a lick of progress the entire season is enough of a reason to can GG. I've been a Gard defender, but if Chris McIntosh wants to work his magic here again I am completely, 100% on board now.
  19. This is honestly the main reason I still have T-Mobile. MLB.tv rules
  20. Old friend Weston Wilson is off to a good start with the Phillies org, crushing a 3-2 slider to left for a 2-run homer.
  21. Of course I do. I'm a baseball fan, I'm not rooting for billionaires' profit margins.
  22. The players have been fighting an uphill battle since day 1 of this sport. They've greatly improved their position through the MLBPA and collective bargaining, but let's not pretend that ownership doesn't still have an upper hand. The arbitration process was an improvement when it was first implemented, but at this point it is antiquated and needs serious revision. I'm not going to be mad at the players for collectively forcing MLB's hand almost 50 years ago now.
  23. Yes, we're all aware how arbitration works, but thanks. My point is, we're all rooting for the players on the field, not ownership and their ledgers. "Legal collusion" on both sides or not, why would any fan just shrug and say "well it is what it is". Of course we have the right to be upset when our historically cheap franchise nickel and dimes arguably the best starting pitcher we've ever had.
