    Yea he came in after the grand slam to finish the inning. My mistake - I meant to say like, warming and coming into the game in the 8th to get out of Freddy's jam.

    In a season where I've frequently walked out of the stadium saying "well, that might be the worst loss of the season so far", tonight it may actually hold true (even though I still have plans to witness some soul-crushing Brewers baseball in-person at least two more times this season). That was downright painful, and mostly because it was so incredibly predictable. So many stranded runners... I liked CC going to Peralta when he did. However, to not get someone warming in the 8th once the bases began filling up, I just don't understand. What a disjointed season all around for this team, man oh man.

    Padres have the bases loaded with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th, down 5-4... edit: Jorge Alfaro attacks the first pitch he sees and walks it off for the Padres with a 2 RBI single up the middle.

    With all due respect, the fans have zero to do with roster construction. I wish Willy's approach wasn't so geared towards trying to pull the ball for dingers, but his power is still productive. He's put up a 3.1 bWAR season to this point. Hopefully he makes an adjustment over the offseason and takes some more walks in 2023. Personally, I'd be into him moving to 3B primarily and dropping down into more of an RBI spot in the lineup, with Turang handling the bulk of the SS and Urias at 2B (or more of a utility IF if Wong sticks around).

    Yea, I don't think anyone would pay $100 to really put something like that on the scoreboard for their "friend" to read. This is a fake viral ploy (that is clearly working).

    Yea this feels very fake. Who would pay what I'm sure is an exorbitant fee to put something like that on the scoreboard?

    I always go to the forums first, (usually Brewers Talk then Minor League Talk) to catch up on previous threads, read the game thread, and check out the most recent discourse/minor league box scores. After that I'll check out some of the article content (there's a lot of great writers here!). I think this sums up my only issue with the "Article:" threads populating in the Brewers Talk forum very well:

    Looks like Payton Henry took some exception to Esteury Ruiz trying to bunt for a base hit with a 6-0 lead.

    Frelick just hit a frozen rope that unfortunately got snagged by the 2nd baseman for an out. Tough luck.
