Travis Shaw has homered for the 2nd straight day, 2-2 HR 3 RBI so far

Corbin Burnes - his numbers are still cartoonishly bad from his earlier troubles, but he's looked nasty out of the pen his last few appearances. If he can become a reliable shutdown high leverage option out of the pen to pair with Hader it could give quite a boost, especially with the shakiness of Jeffress and Guerra lately.

I am in. Pitching turns it around in the 2nd half, Hiura/Aguilar get hot from the right side and Shaw eventually comes back with major impact. Division champs

    Bingo

If San Diego really wants him, there’s no way the Brewers could compete with their prospect capital.

I don't think Lorenzo Cain's ability has dropped off due to age or anything, it's 100% related to his thumb. Whether that will ever heal enough for him to return to his 2018 level is another question. At least his defense is still incredible, and that makes him valuable regardless of the bat. But hopefully the cryotherapy treats him well enough for the remainder of this season/postseason and then a full offseason gets him back to where he needs to be.

You lost me at Chris Berman.

    This is enjoyable

Carlos Gomez is a free agent after being released by the Mets, maybe the Brewers could sign him to a minor league deal and take a crack at another Gomez for Wheeler swap because The Mets are The Mets? /blue

Players that are selected as All-Stars but can’t play in the game due to injury are still All-Stars. Players that are selected as injury replacements are All-Stars as well. Pretty simple.

Marisnick had a clear path to the plate and instead stepped inside and just destroyed Lucroy. He should be suspended.

Dubon isn’t going to get in this game is he

If Jesús can put together a 2nd half like last year’s 1st half, look out. He’s heating up!

#Reds Sonny Gray gave a lot of credit on his All-Star nod to Reds pitching coach Derek Johnson: "To be back with DJ has been a blessing. It feels like he's taught me how to pitch twice now. He's hands-down the best pitching coach that there is."

Pirates putting on a contact clinic in this inning. It would be enjoyable to watch if it wasn’t at the expense of the Brewers
  17. brooks_quichenick
The Brewers desperately need a contact hitting bat like Adam Frazier in their lineup.
  18. brooks_quichenick
    What a predictable outcome

That one little slice of padding was pushed down and angled back towards the field, if the ball lands on the flat padding to the left or right it likely bounces over the fence. Tough break

Really hope Dubon gets a pinch hit appearance today, maybe a double switch to get some action in the field too. His mom flew in from Honduras for the game, would be a shame if she couldn’t see him play.

Yes! I’ve said this so many times haha I cannot tell Grindle or Levering apart, they sound ridiculously similar.

Corbin Martin also just had Tommy John surgery the other day, fwiw.
  23. brooks_quichenick
Going to have to pour it on in the top of the 9th here
  24. brooks_quichenick
    Cain needs an IL stint

I just laughed so hard at that call my cat bolted out of the room. Unbelievable
