Oh how I love you, GIDP

Bottom of the order, go figure Hader can't throw strikes
-
That AB should be the nail in the coffin for Jesus. Can't be 1st pitch hacking after a walk to load the bases when you're down 6, especially with as godawful as he's been this year.
-
I mean Freddy wasn't great tonight, but we're seeing arguably the most potent offense in the AL even without 3 of their best players. Tough outs all the way through the lineup. That pitch Yordan Alvarez golfed out wasn't a bad pitch from Albers, he's just an absolute stud hitter with monster power, and the Astros have a few of those guys.

Cain has to be playing hurt or something. He's been pretty consistently terrible

Jimmy Nelson update from On Deck

Idk when those AAA players include Yordan Alvarez it’s still an intimidating lineup -
Bauer is a headcase and I’d prefer to not bring him into this clubhouse. After the Hader issues last year it also wouldn’t be a great look for the franchise to go after a guy with such a knack for making a fool of himself on Twitter.

2 homers tonight so far!

Cubs sign Craig Kimbrel (3 years / $43 million)
brooks_quichenick replied to Eye Black's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
I mean, he’s one of the greatest closers of all time. Trying to downplay it like the Cubs didn’t just get better is silly. They addressed one of their only real weaknesses. -
Short porch in RF at Yankee Stadium maybe? Sox and Astros are very RH dominant true, but those guys hit well no matter what hand the pitcher is throwing with.

I guess with a home park that plays well for left handed bats it can't hurt to develop left handed pitching -

Didn't think I'd be this excited to go to Miller Park for a Wednesday night matchup in June against the Marlins!

Well I guess we've got 1 candidate to leave the rotation when Gio/Chacin are back

I thought the same thing just watching his delivery. I like this aspect of his game too: -

I like the pick, LHPs with funky deliveries are always good to have -
Grisham just homered again, 4th straight day with a HR
-
Haudricourt has got to be one of the worst beat writers in baseball even without looking at that front page mistake.
-
Braunie really smoked that one
-
Hiura's bad throw opened the floodgates, but even before that happened Woodruff was missing his spots to Polanco and Marte. Rough inning all around. Guess we'll just need to pour it on today.
-
Should've been an inning ending DP, tough break for Woody. Hiura needs to make a better throw there
-
Himself for not trying to improve sooner? The coaching staff for not helping him? He's 24 years old.
