  1. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when Jorge gave up 3 runs in the 1/3 inning, he was relieved by Wise, who promptly gave up a HR. I dunno if it's a WISE move to set up the sequel.
  2. NO! Don't pull Jorge! He needs some confidence!
  3. That last pitch was down the middle...and a ball. The guy needs to get those calls!
  4. And my favorite young lefty (well, besides Cappy) still has those control problems. And why is he in the high 80's, low 90's?
  5. So close... Geoff wanted to be the hero. He wasn't. He will be tomorrow. :-)
  6. And the WINNING run is up, in the form of the original TROJAN MAN!
  7. Attaboy Lyle! Though it would have been better if you "Prior-ized" him with that. BACK TO THE DL!
  8. Gagne is a cheater! I didn't know he ALSO throws a curve!
  9. Why are the Dodgers even trying? This is just overkill! Plain and simple!
  10. Sheets is the man. He was dealing tonight until he left a couple up. I doubt anyone thought Sheets was going to no-hit the Dodgers like he was when he was dominating. Now it's up ot the lineup to get him out of this jam because he doesn't deserve the loss (though he didn't deserve the last one either) and he certainly doesn't deserve the amount of criticism piled upon him tonight.
  11. I, for one, didn't see the game going in this direction. I'm hoping I get to see Geoff put one in the seats his next time up.
  12. Perhaps Brady Clark can pass Cesar Izturis on the hits list with Ben holding off the defensive whiz and Brady pounding the spot-starter. Here's hoping that Sheets proves to be the gem we saw in the Astros game. OH! And here's also hoping Sheets poisons Spivey so he can't be his 2B tonight. :-) I'd actually like to see Cirillo start at 2B with Helms at 3B tonight. Give both Hall and Spivey the nights off.
  13. The Brewers draft history is up as well... mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/ne...&fext=.jsp A few errors are contained within, however. The reasoning behind taking Rickie (Weeks v. Young) is explained as Weeks v. BJ Upton. But altogether, a decent read.
  14. Well Santana IS efficient, which Maddux and Yost preach. But to give up on Turnbow wouldn't be a prudent decision, considering he has had A LOT of success. He's been a bit down as of late, but he's been used sporadically. When we begin to win consistently, and thus, he begins to pitch consistently, we'll be more than fine.
  15. Jenkins is the main feature of tonight's game, according to Sportscenter. Well pitching isn't as exciting when your closer almost gives it up.
  16. Well it's only fair to leave the bases juiced with the amount of times during the game we did the same.
  17. Santana...yet ANOTHER gem for Melvin. Though I'm still a Turbo fan. And I actually knew that it wasn't a save situation. I didn't know what I was thinking. But I'm sure Santana will take it. But Santana might have solidified his spot as the set-up man... That'd make him the first!

  19. Santana...one more and WE WIN! OMIGOD! I almost had a heart attack! And I'm 24!
  20. Turbo wants the save. Too bad, I'd have been happier if he didn't get it.
  21. Turnbow killing his ERA again. But I'd imagine he's going to get the DP next batter.
  22. And we're back to see Cirillo throw out the guy at first. 1 down, two to go.
  23. OMIGOD! we're having a monthly Emergency Test...NOW??? This is not right!
  24. I really thought they were going to walk him to get to Hall. But that makes the easy choice, Davis! The Brewer pitcher outduels the statistically better Padres pitching (though Davis has better stats than Lawrence).
