  1. I can be quiet and not say anything going forward. I'm fine with that. The vast majority of us really appreciate you.
  2. While I don’t completely disagree with you, I would also just say that part of what makes a farm so valuable is that it can provide you the assets to go out and get a Yelich or an Archer. Yelich is what you hope Brinson and/or Harrison can become. I would argue that Archer is what you hope Ortiz and Burnes can become, at least in terms of effectiveness, not necessarily style. If these guys had a year or even two left on their deals, I don’t think they warrant extensive use of the farm in the situation we’re currently in. However, since both have significant term remaining, I think it’s a no brainer. We’ll see.
  3. So to get back on track, and at the risk of sounding completely naive, how do we know that Brewer World is not legitimate? Is it possible that he does have information that the Brewers will not be SIGNING a TOR pitcher? It also seems to directly dispute Heyman saying he’d be surprised if we didn’t add one of the big 4.
  4. I really don’t know what to make of this guy. Everyone else probably knows more about how legit he is than I do. I have my doubts.
  5. You’re really comparing Suter to Arrieta?
  6. I completely agree with this, but I also trust Stearns 1000% not to put the franchise in such a bad spot.
  7. I think it’s both. I think Stearns and company see it as an opportunity to compete this year but also in the coming years. If these were strictly win in the future moves he wouldn’t necessarily be making them 2 weeks before pitchers and catchers report.
  8. Are we pretty much at the point where we don’t think Arrieta is a possibiiity any longer?
  9. We will need more than that to be title contenders. I am hoping for playoffs. If you get to the playoffs, you have a shot. This isn’t the NBA.
  10. I could be reading way too much into this, but in watching Cain's presser, it seems like Stearns and Counsell know something they aren't letting on. The questions regarding OF's and even Braun at 1B were answered extremely vaguely, and both guys seemed uncomfortable with a few of the questions which I found interesting. Maybe there is a sizable move in waiting...
  11. I just watched a link to Ken Rosenthal breaking down the trade and signing. He indicates that he thinks Milwaukee wants to hold onto Santana and use other means to find a pitcher. Video is on MLB Network’s twitter page.
  12. I have a feeling it’s going to be Archer. I’m not sure why; I just do.
  13. I like Brinson a lot but his ceiling is what Yelich is already. Make the move. For some reason this makes me think it’s gonna get done tonight or tomorrow.
  14. First time poster, long time reader. I think any deal involving Arcia is an automatic no deal. I realize opinions on him can vary, but he’s proven to be more than valuable defensively and really came on at the plate. You don’t trade those kind of shortstops at that age.. you just don’t. Having said that, I absolutely love the idea of getting Yelich. He’s been one of my favorite non Brewers for quite some time and seeing what he could do at Miller Park would be something. He also gives us something that I think was lacking last year, and that’s the CONSISTENT ability to get on base and set the table for guys like Braun and Shaw. Happy to be on board with all of you. Go Crew
