  1. Jenkins at C, hold on to your butts
  2. Those last three plays were equal parts horrendous play calling and execution. How a MLB ends up on Pittman I don’t know, but it better not happen again today.
  3. Is it weird that this almost makes me feel better? The offense has a tendency to seem so much more like it’s best version of itself when Adams is out and the ball gets distributed more widely and more quickly. I think this happens for several reasons: Arodg doesn’t fixate, the opposing defense can’t ignore 80% of the offense, and MLF seems to develop better game plans. Losing the best* WR in the league absolutely doesn’t make you a better team, but boy, the results don’t always bear that out. Football is a weird game.
  4. This year has sucked so much already, why not add that to the pile? 2020: Brewers lose most capable GM in organization's history after giving mega-deal to former mvp, who proceeded to have his worst year as a professional hitter. That all checks out. Grab your hats and your booties, kids, because its going to be a cooooooooold winter... EDIT: Update from Snapper below—maybe Stearns stays? EDIT 2: Yup, good call. Disregard my above expression of rank pessimism as I return to normal levels of general melancholic fandom.

  6. Good for Bakh. Not that the writing wasn’t on the wall, but Jones is as good as gone. Dillon better have a better sophomore year. Or given a chance. Fair point. Nice job by the pass rush (finally)! Gary and Preston!
  7. Huge play by Gary. Gotta have it.

  9. I’m of two minds on that play. Should a serious football team be able to run forward for a yard when it needs it? Yes. Should a coach who is supposedly a brilliant offensive mind be able to get more creative in short yardage situations? Yes. Not good.
  10. Apparently yes, because the tipped ball sequence necessitated picking up the flag or not.
  11. Stars were balling out on that drive. Good
  12. On a positive note, nice to see Jones get loose a little. Some more of that would be quite helpful.
  13. This team won’t escape the divisional round. Heck, losing to an NFC East winner isn’t out of the question. Not even going on the road to a warmer climate/dome in the playoffs changes my mind. This team doesn’t have it, and it’s an institution-wide failure.
  14. Buy a lottery ticket. It's just we've seen this movie before against bad teams. Yeah we have. I’m getting pretty tired of it.
  15. Buy a lottery ticket.
  16. That has literally been the plan for the last decade. It has failed every single time. When are we going to try something else?
  17. Horrendous offense. No Adams on the field, no one open, and o-line can’t hold up on two straight plays with three yards to gain. This is equal parts MLF and Gute. The brain trust looks brain dead today.
  18. Give up a special teams score? Check Turnover deep in your own territory? Check Kick a field goal on a red zone drive? Check Lose the penalty yardage battle? (Not yet, surprisingly) Freaky weather x-factor? Check Tie game late? Check Red alert time on the upset meter
  19. Effort play. Jacksonville wants this game so bad.
  20. I’ve never seen a punter get as many great rolls in a game as this guy has for Jacksonville. Unreal.
  21. Brutal hold penalty. Deserved, but still brutal.
  22. That drive doesn’t quite reestablish the order of the universe, but it’s a good first step.
  23. Ok, I don’t know what the heck I’m talking about. Go MLF, you got your five yards, buddy.
  24. MLF is going to lose that one. Not a banner showing by the HC so far. Get it going, dude
  25. That settles it. Punters aren’t football players. Case closed.
